If BM would play Bellwood, who do you think would win?

Bellwood-Antis is not in the Western Final this week. They are in the Eastern Final against Southern Columbia. SC will beat Bellwood, and would beat McCort as well.

If you want to talk about playing up, Tyrone, McCort or Forest Hills would still be playing if they played up to AAA! Hollidaysburg barely beat J-town. Then they lost by a point to Oliver. Oliver lost by a TD to General McClane. I think McCort, FH, or Tyrone would have beat all of those teams and been playing Thomas Jefferson in the Western Final.

O.K. So Bellwood is in the STATE SEMIFINALS. Same difference. I'm sure the consensus is that BM would be there instead if they would have stayed single A. As far as Tyrone and FH moving up, why should they? Years ago Penn Cambria and Central Cambria played up to AAA when they were officially AA, and what good did that do them? You can't fool Mother Nature. Stay within your class. By the way, I thought FH cheated to avoid playing AAA. At least that's what everyone says. Who cheats to AVOID an easier classification? NO ONE.

This whole thing about playing up a class has got me scratching my head. There is no doubt that if BM stays single A, they are playing again next weekend. Who made this decision to play up a class? Was it the administration? The AD? The head coach? The assistants? The players? Who made the decision, which will be in effect for next year too? Also, what were the advantages of playing up a class? When UConn moved from I-aa to Division I in college football, there were lots of advantages. Better quality of football, more fan interest, increased revenue for the school, TV exposure, more scholarships per team. Lots of advantages. But in high school football, what possibly were the advantages for a single A school going double A? Can someone expound on this, cause I'm at a loss for an explanation.

Any thing/way to cast negative aspersions.... talk of difficulty grasping the high road concept!

Let's have a little Historical Revisionism, which is the attempt to change commonly held ideas about the past. In its legitimate form it is the reexamination of historical facts and in this case the fact remains that dozens of schools choose to play up, for various reasons... ala BM.

Now considering that Revisionism has an eye towards updating historical narratives with newly discovered, more accurate, or less biased information, acknowledging that history of an event, as it has been traditionally told, may not be entirely accurate. An example of this would be the "don't want to be AAA Rangers"; we all know that designation is an overt attempt to avoid accurate determination/placement.

Mr. Negaive grasps the latter, manipulative concept much more easily than the preceding.

Wait I think I have an answer he may grasp:

It was a Divne inspiration....like the Blues Brothers & Vman the Crushers were sent on a AA mission from God!

I think they became AA because of Divine Punishment for that onsides kick a few years ago against Richland. Just my opinion though.

Seriously, who decided that BM should move up a class this year? Someone should know the answer.
