Runk is good, very good for a sophomore. But Illinois? PSU? GET REAL.

Re: Lucas Runk
Ok...1st of all Runk is getting no attention from big ten schools as a sophomore. i don't know this for a fact but I have played with guys that have gone big time d-1 and they were better than Runk his sophomore at their respectable positions and they didn't get big time letters till after their junior campaign. Don't get me wrong Runk is a helluva player as is Lucas, but Illinois and Penn State, come on now. I can maybe see 1-AA such as Robert Morris, St Francis or Duquesne (baring academics) and i think this is as far as he will go unless he puts on some muscle and with that keeps/improves his speed 2nd, honestly i don't even think Runk or Lucas has the most potential to go D1 out of the LHAC. Yes, i went and played at McCort, but this an unbiased opinion, Shane Rugg has the most potential by far in the conference and probably in d6 (A). Rumor has it that he took an official visit to Notre Dame vs Pitt. I also heard through the grapevine down on Osbourne street, that a number of programs are getting ready to offer after the season such as, Maryland, Wake Forest, Central Michigan and UConn. Not saying this is fact but rumors.

Re: Lucas Runk
I now alot of d 2 colleges looked and are interested in runk and lucas. Lucas and Runk both go to a lot of combines and they ll get better. D1 is a good possiblity but it requires a crap load of work

Re: Lucas Runk
well said crushers...and i think what may ultimately do them in is...how many big d1 schools have heard of central martinsburg...not many i don't think they have ever had a player go d1...no offense, please let me know if im mistaken, but you need to go to a school coaches already know about..mccort...johsntown..altoona...forest hills in some cases, that school/area is going to make it THAT much harder for them...nonetheless, best of luck men, work hard and never give up on anything you set your mind to do

Re: Lucas Runk
Central did have a player do D-1. Mark Raugh back in the 80s i think went to West Virginia and even got drafted by the Steelers but never actually got into the games. But still Central player going D-1 and even NFL for a year or 2. Runk I know for a fact is getting letters from Illinois on a consistent basis and even gets the occasional letter from Pitt. But Illinois does give him rights to all home game tickets and the head coach sends him letters. Im not saying Runk is going D-1 but im just saying that he is getting looked at by D-1 coaches but will have to work extremely hard to achieve that.

Same with Garrett Lucas d 1 has looked at him and he has worked his but off to get to the point where he is and he will achieve alot more. i mean some of those games he started over the huge 77 kid on defense i mean cmon give the kid some credit
