WPIAL O-Lineman Tom Ricketts....

Post by The Ancient Enemy »

Is another Pitt legacy. Guess what. He is very close with Miles Dieffenbach and Luke Graham, both of which are PSU commits. Ricketts is a 3-star player who is expected to pick between PSU and Pitt.

Let's put it this way: Dieffenbach called Ricketts and told him he committed before he informed Rivals.

I wonder where Ricketts ends up? Shame that he's a Pitt legacy and is so torn right now.

"I talk to coach Bradley a lot. I like staff up there at Penn State, it's a real comfortable environment up there," he said. "I think they want to bring in four linemen or something like that, so I'm not really worried about [losing a spot], but with me being real tight with those guys, it sure is a factor in the whole gist of it."

PSU 2010 football recruit Tom Ricketts has been granted his release and will transfer to Pitt. Ricketts was ranked the #6 recruit in Pa, and the #19 offensive lineman in the nation as a senior. Ricketts will have to sit out this coming season, but will have 3 years of eligibility remaining, starting in 2012. Knowing Penn State, now that he is gone, they really didn't want him anyway.

Generic Penn State response.
"He was never going to play at Penn State" "He was in over his head, we'll let Pitt have this guy" "He probably couldn't keep up with Penn State academics" ect......
