Thanks for pointing out the grammatical error Moldo. You should be an English teacher.

I hear McCort is hiring an English teacher.

O wait, nevermind, I forgot they don't hire douchebags. Sorry man.

But I have absolutely NO certification for teaching English. Wait a minute. I forgot, you don't need to be certified to teach in a private/parochial school. Sorry.

You mean like the "Wellness Center"??? That's been on the front page several times. You know, kinda like a "recruiting" thing. Must be nice to have friends of McCort who work for the Tribune.

Far Below Vman? If you're going to keep taking shots at FH atleast make them true. FH actually has all kinds of students, you know kids who don't play a sport, who don't plan on going to college, etc. So why criticize the FH education system? I'm sure there is just as many if not more intelligent young people at FH as BM.. the difference is FH has even more who go to Vo-Tech, etc.

but they do/have/can hire people without degrees/proper certifications and would not even get a look at teaching at a public school..

Wow, did this turn ugly. I was enjoying reading the names; and I thought the question posed was thought provoking.

If there was no McCort, some of the local teams could have been powerhouses and threatened on a state level more frequently. I believe Johnstown and Westmont would have been the biggest benefactors from such a scenario.

On the flip side, there would have been many upset parents crying why their child wasn't getting playing time. El Moldo would have been ripping Westmont saying that they recruited athletes that could have gone to a parochial school - ahh, I shouldn't have typed that - Sorry Moldo.

Yea,that was one of Donbo's infamous ploys; you know fh had like 120 kids @ Vo-Tech when they had athletics > besides some students who had legit vocational interests, any discipline problems would be threatened w/expulsion OR given option to transfer to VT. Helped keep fh under AAA #'s for years & of course those kids were not fb players

While this conversation could be the exact other way around, I'm not so sure Jtown and WH do the best with what they are given, a ton goes into coaching/ working in the offseason.

Just for fun tho?....

It is a toss-up between FH and Jtown. FH with the Lewis boys would have been something to see, not so sure they would have lost too many games in those 6 years! Although Larod's Jr and Sr years could have at least gone to states in my opinion. With ALL THAT SPEED (on field that is)! WH would have gotten some pretty darn good players that would have Saturday afternoons a whole lot more fun
