Um, Sidewinder, Titan identifies his program in his handle. He's a Shaler (Titan) man, but it's definitely not HIS program. Titan, if you could "buy" a D-6 program, hire the coach, etc., who would it be? Who has the best setup/scenario/chance to compete with the WPIAL consistently?

A decent coach could be had for about $40,000. That's what Greater Latrobe paid the former Jeannette coach. They created the position of summer school and detention coordinator, i.e., babysitter, and brought him onboard.

If I had my druthers with D6 "teams", here's what I'd do:

I'd take an all-star team from District 6 in each classification...A, AA, AAA, and AAAA...That way, I could coach the D6 team and only lose by 2-3 TDs to the WPIAL champs in each classification with the all-star teams, instead of taking monster beatings with McCort, Tyrone, Forste Hills, State College, etc. Sure, those teams find a nut once a decade or so, but not usually...
