26 Team Preview - Tribune Democrat

Post by SRV »

If you were not aware today was the "Tribune's High School Football Season Preview."

Rosters and interviews from 26 area teams. Coaches said the same ole - same ole.

Overall it was enough to quench my preseason thirst.

Here comes Friday Night!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Mirror issue comes Tuesday. Also today was a big special edition of the Patriot if you could get one.
It ain't over until it's over.

Pittsburgh Trib-Review had theirs today and it's in 2 sections and over 200 pages. I definitely recommend.

Several days ago, someone mentioned about how few players there were for BC. The Tribune today showed 33 players and 2 freshmen. BM only has 33. Johnstown, benefitting from being AAA, has 60 on it's roster. BM does have 11 coaches though for their varsity.

This has to be the smallest McCort team I have ever seen from a numbers standpoint, I believe 2 kids on that roster are out for the year. 31 is the number. 3 Seniors that played last year, are not with the team this year.

Crimson

Gruss is out for the year with an ACL, Nathan Neiderhiser with a back issue out for season, and Trexler is most likely out due to knee issues.

I really like the coverage the local media gives the High schools from the huge football previews to the WJAC game of the week, all the radio coverage from the Heritage,to the LHAC you can t go 5 miles in a car on a friday and and not find a local high school football game on the radio.

All that is missing is a live tv broadcast on WJAC

It beats the crap out of watching WJAC and all its coverage of places like Wilcox, Dagus Mines, Bellefonte, Kersey, and need I say more. That's what I call local news.
It ain't over until it's over.
