Williamsburg beating Bishop Carroll would be like hitting the Powerball two times in a week. There has to be something to this. I just cannot see why the Blue Pirates would do this.

I think I figured it out, Williamsburg plays West Branch in game 10 every year and West Branch made the playoffs. Usually the Williamsburg/West Branch game is a good matchup. Last year Williamsburg won 26-20 at West Branch. This year they were to play at Williamsburg, do you think that was a scheduled senior night???

It dosn't matter, they had a 10th game scheduled anyways. If Williamsburg want to play them whats the big deal. They agreed to play, as far as I know they wern't forced to play. It gives you a chance to play younger kids. If i'm correct didn't BC play Southern Hunington 2 years ago. Look how that helped them last year.

I can see Williamsburg playing West Branch but not Bishop Carroll. I said it before four practices and getting your butt kicked doesn't make the difference. Williamsburg is getting ina little over theirhead. I really don't care but I don't know why you get somebody hurt in a meaningless game.

I would vote Sponsky in as President too.

Looked at thier roster, I think the coaches son plays on the team. That could be a factor for playing.

Just another possible angle is in this era of decreasing school budgets is the Williamsburgh coach (and staff) is affaird if they don't play a 10th game that the school board would drop that week in the future of non-playoff season. Of course single A playoff format may change anyway and all schools will be looking for that 10 game.
