This has to be a record. 5 single A teams from D5 7-2 or better. I don't think a 7-2 team has ever had to go on the road like Berlin in the first round of the playoffs.

Any of these teams could realistically win it, thats the best thing about the D5 tournament.

Game between Berlin and CT will be played at CT or Berlin. Piaa rules say that if the home team can not play on their home field during the playoffs it will be played at visiting teams field.

What's the deal with CT's field? When would they need to make a desicion on where the Berlin CT game is being played?

This year's D5 playoffs is one of the most competitive ones I have ever seen. I think the biggest reason is just because the competition is really down. I really don't even know who is the "favorite." You could say NS has the advantage but realistically Berlin, CT, NBC, Windber can beat them.

disagree 100% as i stated before the year started, c.t. windber and n.s only graduated 6. i didnt have much info on berlin or nbc but preseason had them doing pretty good, so i would say competition is really good and that there is just 5 teams that are really good, look at the tds bryan has scored and yardage, the passing yds by max and the runninng and passing yds by c.t. any of these games are gonna be great to watch.

Exactly, their numbers are big because the competition is down. I don't care how many kids you got coming back because it is all about the quality of players you lose not quantity. From last year to this year it is a big difference.

McCort is off, so the Point is an option.
Johnstown, and Richland are away so those are options.

Somerset is hosting a game, so that won't be an option.
i havent heard anything yet ghost, i know with all the snow it has to be in pretty rough condition and they may have to look at richland or the point, i just hope they resolve it over the summer so home playoff games and senior nights can actually be played at home

c.t. berlin game will be played saturday night at 7 pm at somerset high school. field was in too bad of shape and d5 approved the change to be played at somerset.

still disagree, there are more quality players in my opinion this year overall then last year. teams like c.t who lost 2 starters on offense and 3 on defense and teams like n.s. and windber who are the same, have had people step into replace the covers, byers, and saylors. and the core group surrounding them are the same who where there last year. i feel confident that this years d5 representative will put up more against clairton or d7 rep then the past 3 have, will lose but will put up a score, whether its max to tony, bryan td run, berlin run or pass td, c.t run or pass td, or nbc rushing td. i believe any of these teams will score at least one td.

This Week-

I'm picking Berlin and Meyersdale.

I think both games will be very close.
I think Berlin's defense wins them the game whereas Meyersdale offense wins them the game.

I hope it stays warm so I can catch a game this week... just can't handle the cold like I used to.

Good Luck to all Playoff teams.
