Pitt fans are really looking forward to basketball? I think being a pitt basketball fan would be harder than being a football fan. At least the football is bad so you shouldn't expect much. To have a great basketball team every year and somehow find a way to lose basketball games that you have no business losing in the tournament. Seriously has to be really tough.

But winning alot of B-ball games, being ranked in the top 10 many times during the season, etc etc is all good and something to look forward to.

yeah winning 30 games and being top 5 all year ain't a bad deal. A lot of good coaches take a while to win their first national title, Jamie will get one. He's a great coach.

Yeah I guess I agree. just been a lot of heartbreak to endure the past couple years. If they get past Butler last year I feel like they win a national championship

Pitt's last 2 losses last year were to UConn and Butler, the two teams in the National Championship. They definitely had a good road set to get there if they play better down the stretch against Butler. But here they are ranked #10 again with a chance to break through finally.

PG- Travon Woodall 5-11 Jr. Been around a few years, finally gets to start. personally I think he would have started for a few teams in the Big East in year's past.

SG- Aston Gibbs 6-2 Sr. One of the top Seniors and players overall in the country, and maybe the best shooter out there.

SF- JJ Moore 6-7 So. Freak athletically, very similar to Gilbert Brown.

PF- Nasir Robinson 6-5 Sr. Veteran that knows how to win. Typical Pitt rugged player.

C- Dante Taylor 6-9 Jr. Former McDonald's All American. Many believe he will finally start playing like one this year.

6Man-Talib Zanna 6-9 So. Had a respectable freshmen campaign. Still a bit raw, but athletically and physically some think he could play in the NBA.

7Man-Lamar Patterson 6-5 So. Just a consistent bench guy. Doesn't do anything all that great, just a smart player.

8Man-Khem Birch 6-9 Fr. Highest rated player in years. Freak athlete, I dont think he will be totally ready for Big East play, but athletically he can be out on the floor.

9Man-Cam Wright 6-4 Fr The first true guard off the bench, he can handle it and shoot it.

After that its a guess.....
Gilbert 6-11 Fr
J.Johnson 6-1 Fr
D. Johnson 6-6 Fr All of these 3 are redshirt candidates, but could climb up.

Isaiah Epps 6-2 Fr After redshirting might be time for him to be first guard off the bench.

UConn and Syracuse are the best teams in the Big East, but Pitt can certainly play with and beat them. Theres not one team out there Pitt can't beat, and thats the best thing with these past 10 years.....Pitt is competitive against anyone.
