Thanks jack! I wonder if clairton would beat tyrone? That isn't a typical single a school. I saw them play and they are loaded both sides of the ball and have great size also!

I think Clairton would be state champs in AA.

I thought all along Clairton was the best small school team in the state, believe I said that back in August and I was told I was crazy because West Catholic would smoke them. Call it what you will, but the Bears are the real deal. Lancaster Catholic-CLairton would be a real good game. Depth is Clairton's only issue. But if Tyler Boyd is in the open field, nobody is touching him.

On a different scale, Archbishop Wood is the best team in Pennsylvania no questions asked, you just don't beat a team like McDevitt by 50 unless you are the absolute real deal. Wood, would have won AAAA as well.

Tyrone played one hell of a game today. You could tell that Lancaster Catholic was the better team and Coach Franco had his troops poised to take the lead late. It's a testament to him and his team. Not much more you could ask for. Tyrone had their chances but came up a bit short.

Wood is by far the best team in the state. Period. End of story.

Regarding Clairton there was some discussion on an allstar A team from this area beating them. I think I was in the minority when I said no way. Well, please tell me who could stop Tyler Boyd. He is back next year and so will Clairton. What an unbelievable talent.

Wood might be one of the best teams in the country. And with Boyd back, I expect Clairton to make it 4 in a row next year.

Call me crazy, but... I do NOT believe that Lancaster Catholic was superior to Tyrone.
Tyrone's defense played lights out against a very good rushing attack.
They got no help from their offense (the passing game).
Getz was pounding the ball and the coaches went away from him when the team needed him.
I would take Tyrone in a rematch. I know the coaches from Tyrone will be kicking themselves when they watch the game film.
Lancaster Catholic didn't win the game. Tyrone lost it...JMO

I wasn't there, but from reading jacks comments on here it sounds like the offense with all the turnovers and missed connections on open passes did them in. it sounds to me that tyrone was better, but beat themselves.
