Notre Dame leaving Big East
Notre Dame leaving Big East
Apparently ND is leaving the big east for the greener pasture of the ACC for all sports except football.

I am surprised the ACC would accept this arrangement. Have to think the ACC feels they can eventually pull ND in for football.

The easiest thing to do in sports is hustle.

As I made this analogy...Notre Dame is that kid down the street that you and your buddies think is really annoying, but he has the best toys and you hang out with him anyway.
Its that simple.
I'm not shocked the ACC let this happen, gives them a leg up on getting them as a Football member too. Also Notre Dame has to play 5 ACC games a year. They play BC and Pitt almost every year as it is.
Notre Dame now has to play....
Michigan
Mixhigan State
USC
Purdue
Navy
Stanford
5 ACC Games
and a freebe

I still won't be shocked if Florida State decides to bail on that conference. They aren't improving their conference in football at all with these additions and that's Florida State's main concern. It'll be interesting to see what happens.

Football strength of the ACC isn't their primary focus, MONEY is FSU's primary focus. The exit fee to leave the ACC......50 million!!!! FSU is an under achieving program. If they get it together, they should dominate that league. Virginia Tech is above and beyond the better program of that league. It is inexcusable for FSU to not be a dominating force. Miami stinks and has for 6-7 years now. Florida is minus Urban Meyer coming off a 6-7 season. FSU needs to be winning 11 games a year, period. The ACC is a wonderful league to do that in.
