I thought there would be a little more talk about the OSU-PSU game. In doesn't matter in any sort of standings and rankings, but its a huge game in the Valley. General consensus from my PSU buddies.....They are psyched for this game.

Wait a minute...PSU is already bowl eligible, regardless of what happens the rest of the season.

PSU has already qualified for the Shultz and Curley Nittany Liar Second Mile Bowl, scheduled for January 7, 2013. I am sure PSU will donate all proceeds to child abuse and then arrogantly deem the healing to be complete.

If they win their trials, PSU's false God icon will be cleared and his victories restored. After all, You Are...

Trust me I'm far from obsessed about Penn State LOL. Just thought it'd be a good game, little surprised nobody had anything to say.

The media lately called his playcalling bold and entertaining. Do they STILL think so? BO'B may have laid an egg yesterday which could have cost him the game. At midfield with half the third quarter to go, and PSU down 14-10, BO'B decided to try the old fake punt. It cost the team dearly. Instead of OSU getting the ball possibly inside their own twenty and only up by 4, they got the ball at mid-field and the rest is history. Next thing you know it's 21-10. Great call. And what about going for two when PSU scored a TD to cut the lead to 28-16. If you kick the extra point, you're down only by 11. An 8 and a 3 gets you tied. INSTEAD, you miss the 2 point conversion. NOW you're down by 12 and you now need TWO TOUCHDOWNS to win with time dwindling in the 4th quarter. Good thinking BO'B.

With the amount of time and thought you put into Penn State, you should just become a fan. I think the fake punt was the wrong call in the situation, but like any call if it works he is a genius if it doesn't he is an idiot. I'd rather have a coach with a set of balls than one who plays it close to the vest any day. I think the guy is a great recruiter and great for Penn State. Jump on Board Moldo.

I thought this post was about the Temple/Pitt match-up. The winner had the fast track to the Spark Plug Wire Bowl in Elk City, ID. Shouldn't have been surprised that every Pitt fan had more interest in the PSU/OSU game.

I liked the fake punt. And from where I was sitting, I noticed 2 things. First, I thought it was pass interference. Second, Butterworth missed something on the play, because the special teams coach was going off on him.

Oh well, didn't play well enough to win but PSU should still win 7 or 8.

Does the fake punt indicate how much faith BO'B has in his defense? You pin OSU inside their 20 with only a 4 point lead on the road and PSU has a great chance to hold them and take the lead. But as long as the NITS are happy with their coach's decision not to punt, that's all that counts.
