Haha! I'd have to agree with your picks warrior but I'd have to think the bg-pm game would be a close one

I thought it was going to be the other way around? PM (3) vs BM (6) and JV (4) vs BG (5)?WildCatz wrote:Pending upsets it looks like it will be jv vs bm and pm vs bg rd 1?

It looks more like Juniata Valley-McCort is the more likely scenario.
But in a McCort-Penns Manor game, I'd expect it to be closer than 28-10.
Danny Ferens is a great player, probably the best in the tournament. They have a better line than I imagined when I got to see them play. They don't have much of a passing game. Defensively, Penns Manor is solid. Ferens makes a lot of good plays from his Safety position.
McCort has a better passing game than anyone in the Heritage. McCort also has a pretty good defense. That defensive line is really that big. And McCort's special teams is without a doubt the best in A. McCort is also more battle tested. They have played in some big games this season, and if Richland can only beat McCort by 7, I don't think Penns Manor would win by 18.
I think it would be an excellent game if it were to happen. McCort is a more complete team, but Penns Manor does some really nice things, and they have the best player on the field.

I think McCort has a really good defense but I don't think they can stop the big plays of penns Manor all game. The most underrated part about PM is their defense. Two Special team plays allowed LV to score 11 points. Homer had 1 big play and that was it. I think their defense is what got them so far last year and it is looking just as good this year. I know 18 Points seems like a lot but it really is a close game that breaks out with a couple big plays. The only thing that would stop the Comets is themselves. Penalties have hurt them sometimes this year. Sure you can attest to it Crimson that in the LV game PM's penalties stopped that game from being a lot more lop sided, especially in the first half.

If things go as expected theres going to be some great second round games barring first round upsets,. Portage can't overlook Homer though they could end up going from getting homefield throughout to playing at Penns Manor in the first round.

I think what drives Penns Manor is what hurts them. Ferens has the ball every play, but McCort has seen good players like him this season. Tanner Stull isn't quite as good, but has the same playing style.
Penns Manor would need to prove they can throw the ball, and have other guys be able to run the ball.
