2012-13 Non Conference Basketball schedules.

Post by Crimson's Ghost »

Posting the LHAC ones I see on Maxpreps. If anyone can fill in the blanks, go ahead. PIAA says you can play 22 regular season games to the best of my knowledge. LHAC plays 16 conference games, leaving room for six non league games.

Sention I
Central Cambria-none listed
Cambria Heights-Huntingdon
Bishop Guilfoyle-@Bellwood, @Central, @Philipsburg-Osceola, @Altoona
Bishop Carroll- Conemaugh Valley, @ Vincentian Academy, North Star, Hollidaysburg
Penn Cambria- @ Ligonier Valley
Forest Hills- @Philipsburg-Osceola, @ Central

Section II
Bedford-@Northern Bedford, Chestnut Ridge, Everett
Bishop McCort- Bishop Walsh, @Altoona
Johnstown- @Mt. Lebanon, @Altoona
Richland- @ Windber, @Chestnut Ridge, @Hollidaysburg, @Conemaugh Township
Somerset- none listed
Westmont- Homer Center tourney, Windber Rotary tourney.

Still early, but if you have any team's schedule post it here.

LOL @ some of those matchups. What are Hollidaysburg and Altoona doing playing LHAC teams? Carroll is single A. From what I understand, Hollidaysburg is down, and the game is AT CARROLL (another head scratcher) so BC could very well beat them. What's Mt. Lebo doing playing Jtown? Why would Altoona play McCort?

I know you LHAC guys love those games, but it does those Quads not a single bit of good to play those teams. They are an absolute no-win situation for them. If I were a AAAA coach, I would NEVER play those games. I'd travel to District 1, 3, or 7 and play a Quad before I'd play Bishop Carroll AT CARROLL. Hollidaysburg must be really hard up for games if they're playing Carroll and Richland.

TITAN -- It is so bad up here competition-wise that it is beyond description. Mccort will be tough, Richland has a good player and Carroll has an excellent coach -- all need challenged, and hopefully they will be by these bigger schools, because the competition is so weak up here in A and AA and even AAA. it seems to get worse every year as the piss ant schools continue to melt away.

the upcoming bankruptcy of Westmont and subsequent consolidation of Westmont, Conamaugh Valley and the national poster child for consolidation, Ferndale, with Johnstown, will bring some competition back but that's a couple years down the road.

Titan, I'm all for playing tough competition like you but when your school is so far away from other AAA and AAAA schools and you are in this economic climate like we are, a couple of "closer" games against lower-classification competition doesn't hurt. I've actually been amazed by how many far trips Altoona, Hollidaysburg, and State College have made to get quality competition (but they have to, that's what I'd do to). Took a quick glance at their schedules and they look pretty decent. If I was the coach, I wouldn't want every road game to be over 1 hour.

Johnstown is the local AAA team that has had a puzzling schedule. They are handcuffed by being in a conference with mostly lower-classification teams but some of their nonconf games recently have been puzzling.
