I've seen both of these teams play, and I'm gonna go with Penns Manor 35, McCort 14. Penns Manor is a much more talented team at this point. Bigger up front, definitely much faster. Ferens will have a field day in my opinion. Should be interesting..

I wouldn't underestimate the Crushers size or athletic ability.

I am truly having a hard read on how this game will go. In all honesty...

I could see it being a close game decided by a TD or less going either way.
I could see McCort winning by a large margin.
I could see Penns Manor winning by a large margin.

This is by far the toughest game to judge the whole weekend.

konjo78 wrote:Young buck many things are different from 2009. First Penns Manor is the higher seed and McCort is coming off of 3 losses this year. Second no Josh Seidel. Third Penns Manor is coming off of a State Semi Final Appearance and District Title. Third Ligonier is now AA team that looks to have a chance at d6 AA and penns manor beat them. Fourth Danny Ferens and the comets have matured a lot more after 3 previous years of playoff runs. Five Lhac is somewhat down this year and Heritage is unusually strong this year at the top. Six Game is at Penns Manor where comets have not last in 2 years. There a lot of differences in this game.

My thoughts were that BC was also the lower seeded team that year and went in to hostile enviroment( I think every Heritage team showed up to see BC lose) and they were able to upset Penns Manor.

Are you serious about Ligoneer Valley.

Of the Comets three playoff runs, last year would be the only successful one as did not the other two end rather quickly.

12 hours and we will see how is legit and who is putting equipment away.

You forget in BC game ferens got hurt early and became a non factor. As for ligonier I'm somewhat serious. Nc beat 5 seed in AA. Lv did their job in handling Bea like most Mac teams. I'm not saying they should win next week but with a lucky bounce and a few questionable calls its possible. They have same chance as bishop mccort. Now its less than 12 its 7hrs 20 minutes. Also food at pm is awesome for everyone going!!! Enjoy

Still living in the past old buck? Being that the comets have made it to the semi finals the last 3 consecutive years in a row isn't exactly a shallow playoff run, and the best part about it is they don't have bishop in front of their name. Ps will the huskies even have a program next year?

What a great game. From what i can tell the big turning point for McCort was the Ferens Fumble. Anytime a turnover like that happens it puts you team ahead emotionally. Second half was great. McCort won this game with discipline. They made the least mistakes out there. As for Ferens being sick i think that had 0% affect on the game. The kid is great and boy when that INT happened i was wondering if he would do it again for the comets. A questionable pass at the end but thats football. McCort moves on and what a great game. Anyone who traveled there got a thriller!

I agree completely that it was a good game. worth the trip to Clymer.
But in the end 6-3 beats a 8-1 team on there home turf.
And I will admit I do not think that this is a great McCort team. But playing teams like Richland, Penn Cambria, Forest Hills makes you a lot more battle tested than PL, Saltsburg and Homer Center.
