It wasn't a dig at all? Bellwood is one of the programs in the area I respect most, all they do is win year in and year out. They hadn't won a district title since 2007, how is me stating that a dig at them? I have zero sour grapes with Bellwood, they flat out wanted it more last night and Hayes' gameplan was much better than Sheridan's and these things showed early and often. Hell, I hope Bellwood wins it all in single A this year. If you honestly believe that was a dig at Bellwood by me, than you're sadly sadly mistaken.

Jack i am curious if you Think Penns Manor would have been a better match for bellwood. PM has a terrible pass defense and that allowed mccort to earn a hard win but PM has a much better run defense than mccort. Do you think PM might have been able to match up better, with a danny ferens who can get points up and a slightly better run defense than McCort. Obviously bellwood is really good against the pass, we saw this versus NBC.

Penns Manor would have scored points on Bellwood, you can't hold down Danny Ferens. Would they have won? I don't think. Bellwood is clearly the top dogs. But Danny Ferens would have kept them around.

I think McCort just played horrible. I don't think they are 50 points behind Bellwood, but they were last night. 5-6 turnovers? 8 penalties? I mean it was not their best showing by any stretch of the imagination. But Bellwood caused a lot of the problems, and that is why they are a better football team.

Very classy show of respect and sportsmanship from the McCort players and coaches last night. Players were lined up along the 40 yard line, helmets off and on one knee as the BA players accepted their medals at midfield. Most teams would've been in the locker room immediately after the handshake line. Heard from some BA players that the McCort players were very sincere and gracious in defeat through the handshake line. Heard #52 Barbin in particular was a class act and a true gentleman. Nice season McCort, I'm sure we'll see you next Novermber.

I agree 100%. Bellwoods team just matches up against McCort just like McCort matches up better against Penns Manor. I do think Bellwood's experience last year had them ready for this game. They last thing they want is to be the #1 seed and get blown out again in the d6 championship game.

Did the fact that Bellwood had LAST years championship snatched away by a controversial call, have a great deal of motivation for last night's "beatdown"? I could understand Coach Hayes' "keep the hammer down" philosophy.
It ain't over until it's over.

I thought BA got spanked by PM last year? I don't think a controversial call would have made a difference in that one.

They play Delone Catholic. Yesterday on Twitter Josh Funk of westernpafootball.com said he expects the BA/BM winner, so BA, to beat them.
