Blairsville beats north Penn 72-18 to win that holiday tournament. After Richland loss I'd put them #1 in d6

Blacklick Valley 72
Hope of Hyndman 50

BV looked tough tonight. Cesarz is very good and Sheesley is too. The other three starters very quick and know their roles. Have some nice players off the bench. Cesarz was tourney MVP scoring 37 and 34 points in the two games. Sheesley 16 and 26 and was the Outstanding Player in tourney. I was impressed with the Vikings who are 7-0.

The first 6 BV opponents had a combined 8 wins and 5 of them came from N Cambria. With their schedule they should only lose 2-3 games (Shade and CT). I'm going to wait and see before I jump on the BV bandwagon.

Kmr I hear you but the Cesarz kid is tough. Plays hard!! I saw him last year vs BC in playoffs had close to 30.

D6 A might be a two team race as it stands now, Blacklick and Carroll. Guilfoyle may be around as well.

Blairsvile schedule right now had 37 wins for the opponents. Most in d6 being Penns manor who has 8

Thanks... forgot about that relatively recent JV title. Also thought I remembered Rothrock got far; someone else said they did win one. And I must have forgot about the NC-Dematha score...

I don't think d6A boys is two-team race at all. Probably would have Carroll and Guilfoyle 1 and 2 right now. Then Blacklick and Homer-Center in some order. Not for sure if there are any MAC or ICC single A teams that will be contenders.

On the other hand, NC did win d6A last year and has everyone back (now AA) and Blacklick beat them in opening tourney. BUT it's one game and I have a feeling NC wasn't up for that one but who knows.

Konjo,

I thought Blairsville girls were going to the Philly North Penn tournament. Bad move going to the "other" North Penn tourney. They have a chance to be state contenders and their last 3 nonconference games have been horrible!

When you are as good as they are you should be playing some of the best teams in the state in your nonconference games.

Look at their first two games of the season, the only close ones, against top tier teams from out of state. They just took two high class teams and romped them like nothing. How often do you see 50 point spreads with AA vs AAAA?
