Exactly. Now you have a public with an actual "community" vs. Goliath, not two privates. Without a doubt, Portage fans have traveled better than any other school, boys or girls, in this year's district playoffs. They will be well-represented come Friday evening.

Carroll will have a big crowd too. Right in their backyard. BC-BG a few weeks ago was a packed house. All three schools will be well represented Friday.

At the very least this stimulated 5 pages of reasonably intelligent conversation, with exception of the cheap shot against my sig. When you can't add to a discussion, take the cheap shot. Also, until just now, BMCHS wasn't mentioned once. Congrats to everyone!
It ain't over until it's over.

Portage fans sell themselves short. They think any A or AA public school has fans travel like they do. Far from the case. Portage fans do an unbelievable job, and they take pride on their town. Better than anyone in D6. Bellwood and Tyrone are great for football, not big travelers for other sports. They do an excellent job.

Can someone answer this question? Penn Cambria plays Bishop McCort at Richland and Bellwood girls play Westmont at Richland in the semi's. PC is the 2 seed and BM is the 6 seed . BA is the 2 seed and Westmont is the 3 seed. Why does PC and Bellwood girls have to travel to Johnstown to play teams that are from Johnstown when they are the higher seed and? Doesn't seem legit if you ask me. Who determines the sites of the game?

What I am told, its not about travel sometimes, as it is availability. PC has played at Richland plenty of times. They aren't at any disadvantage.

I thought Bellwood got a raw deal though.

I've been to a McCort-Westmont game in Ebensburg before, it doesn't always make sense.

You're telling me that when PC fans have to drive 30 miles and BM fans have to drive less than 10 that that isn't an unfair disadvantage? Might as well played the game at McCort then.

Re: Playoffs and fan travel considerations
Both teams get 15 minutes to warm up. Both teams have played 5 or more games there the past three seasons. Both teams will have long waits being game 3 of a triple header. Both teams will pack.their respective sides. I don't see a big problem
