And Zayd Issah NEVER has been ON the football team at PSU, has he? And if he was, he's no longer there NOW. So What does he have to do with Penn State?

Titan, we all know you didn't directly mention PSU. But since that is all you really talk about, everyone knew who you were talking about! The hatred is humorous and entertaining. I work with a sPITT fan and a WVU fan and we visit this site daily to see the hilarious responses by you and Moldy! The sPITT fan is actually the one who thinks Moldy is a lunatic, but I tend to agree. Haters gonna keep on hating!!!! You really need to concentrate on what is going on with your own program. sPITT is no longer the enemy of PSU and hasn't been for a long time. Sure they play in a few years, but it will never be like it was in the 70s and 80s.

Why should I concentrate on what's gong on with MY program? I can't help them. I'm just a fan. And the Pitt fan you work with, he doesn't agree with me on things I say about Penn State?? Maybe HE'S the one who secretly roots for Penn State. And I hope you're using your lunch time to read my posts. Wouldn't want you guys to cheat your employer out of an honest days work.

Nope he's a Pitt fan. He's just not infatuated with what is going on with PSU. I think you secretly like PSU, just don't have the guts to admit it. It's ok, we'll let you drink the kool aid. Not that it's any of your business, but my employer doesn't care what I do at work, as long as my work gets done on time. That's one of the great perks to my job.

Well the hits just keep on coming for the criminals at Pitt. Freshman QB Travon Chapman was arrained today on charges of assault and unlawful Restraint. Time for Emmert to investigate.

....Kudos to Chryst. Two players dismissed from the team today, one still remains in indefinite suspension.
....And from a newspaper in Kent, Ohio: Travon Chapman was charged with a pair of misdemeanors by the Kent Police Department following an incident that took place at HIS home on Friday. Chapman, 18, is charged with one count each of assault (first degree misdemeanor) and unlawful restraint (a third degree misdemeanor). Chapman allegedly assaulted a woman at his home. He pulled her hair and grabbed her around the neck, then prevented her from leaving. Pre-trial hearing set for May 28. His father posted $1150 bond, with the stipulation that he have NO contact with the alleged victim. Chapman was placed on indefinite suspension by Paul Chryst, head football coach of the Pittsburgh Panthers.

I heard Chryst didnt kick the defensive lineman off the team because they need all the help they can get on the D line and he only did Cocaine. Chapman wasnt kicked off the team, because he didnt murder her, just strangled her. Chryst will sort all this out just like he sorted the Ray Graham and Devin Street incident......
In all seriousness, what is going on at Pitt? This is a time where they need strong committment from players and kids not getting in trouble. The ACC will be a tougher conference to compete. It almost appears the kids don't care and aren't committed to winning. Even the basketball team is falling apart.

Honest assessment...
First regarding the basketball team, I don't see it as "falling apart" just some guys realizing they aren't quite ACC caliber players. Adams went to the NBA, no faulting there. Zeigler went from the MAC to the Big East and did not make the impact he was supposed to, more less he was overrated. He should transfer down to a smaller school where he can thrive. Moore is a senior and I don't quite understand his transfer, but again he was a guy that never reached his potential, and will likely transfer down to a smaller school. And obviously guys like Malcolm Gilbert (Fairfield) and John Johnson (PSU) went to lesser programs as well.
Looking at things for Pitt now, they return 3 starters, and they have a top 50 player in the country coming in, and a top 150 player coming in. This team can compete for a tournament bid, but by no means they are a great team. They have talent, and they will be very young. It sounds like things are bad, but I see it more of they are cutting the weight, and players are seeing the writing on the wall. Adams hurts. Zeigler and Moore hurt depth wise, not so much skill wise.
As for the football team...
The Shell debacle was a 19 year old being a 19 year old. I don't fault the staff (actually I'm happy they didn't kiss his **** to stick around)
-The Heroin thing is a mess. The two by my estimation were friends with the dealer. The third just happened to be the roommate. Pitt brought in 3 DT's last season, so I don't see the "Depth Chart Justice" I sincerely think the kid wasn't any more involved than just being a roommate.
-The Chapman kid needs to go. If everything is true....well then so be it. He is not a Pitt player.
I don't see any issues, its college football. Everyone has this happen. The fact that it is seemingly happening one after another makes it seem worse than it is.
This team might be able to steal some wins, but they are no better than 7-5. This freshman class Is talented, and they are in the door with plenty of big recruits for the 2014 class. Chryst is not a fast worker, but I expect them to land a few good prospects. Also, I bet in the next month or so they add a few recruits and get on track. They got a 3 star Guard last night. 4 year OL starter in the highest classification in Michigan. That's the type of kid you want.
