Definitely the matchup many wanted to see in the ECF.

Pens are the fast paced, high scoring team. Boston is a solid physical and defensive team. Two contrasting styles, and that should play a role in the series.

I'd have to imagine Chara will be mirroring Crosby the entire series. Chara has like 10 inches 60 pounds on Sidney.

like Pittsburgh in 6. I can see Boston spending a lot of time worrying about Crosby's line, allowing Malkin, Neal, and Iginla's line to do some serious damage.

After what felt like a month of no Pens hockey the ECF start tonight, finally! I'm not going to go into too much detail with my predictions other than to say I think the Pens win the series in 5 or 6 games. Games 4/5 of Ottawa series showed exactly what this offense is capable of, scoring and lots of it. I know Boston is better than Ottawa but I just can't see even them slowing this train down. Sure Bergeron is probably the best 2 way player in the NHL but the Pens don't stop at Crosby. Sure Chara is a great D-man that logs a ton of minutes but he can't play 40 mins and be on the ice every time the top 2 lines are. Plus, I think the Pens know how to get Chara off his game... hit him early and often. One of the regular season games this year every single player was just lining him up and finishing him off... by the end of the day he was looking over his shoulder at every touch of the puck.

The D and TV don't have to be great in this series... just slightly above average and keep it under 3. I'd love to see Crankshaft lay a solid one on Milan Lucic at some point early tonight. The Bruins do have some offensive threats but it's nothing the Pens can't or won't handle...

Lets Go Pens!

They sure crapped the bed last night. They'll be lucky if they win in 7 , at this rate.

I don't even know where to start... this is disgusting. I don't mind losing game 1... a bounce here or there and it's a different game. All in all they played well though.

Last night was like watching 309843 train wrecks happen simultaneously. Kris Letang is playing like absolute garbage. First goal was on him... pinches and then gets out of position, again. Second goal is on him... why try and make a 150 foot break out pass to Brooks Orpik, especially right down the middle of the ice. I love my chances of getting 44 a breakaway too but c'mon... 8-|

Sidney Crosby is probably having someone check under his bed to make sure Patrice Bergeron isn't there. Matt Cooke is more interested in trying to kill someone than play hockey. When you are as loaded as this team is and Joe Vitale and Brendan Morrow are hands down your two best guys on the ice... you've got 99 problems and a Goalie ain't one. It doesn't matter who starts in goal at this point... When you score one goal through 6 periods and are constantly getting the puck rammed down your throat even Patrick Roy would look like trash.

This sucks.

That last statement says it all! ZERO points out of Crosby, Malkin, Neal, and Letang through FOUR games? Whatcha' smoking, mon?
