Rockwood - Ferndale ?

What is the future of the WestPac with Rockwood canceling their season and Ferndale going week to week to see if they can field a team? First will these teams play next year? Second are they playing a JV schedule? Is it time to think consolidating with the heritage to form the old appalachian conference? I heard that the Westpac has no plans to join the heritage as long as Ligonier Valley is in the equation. Thoughts?

Chestnut Ridge?

Ridge would be perfect for the westpack. And a school that may also consider it from the laurel highlands is Westmont. Rather be a constant middle of the road team in the westpack and a power every few years, than bottom feeder like they are now.

The West Pac is very happy with its 14 school/2 section basketball league and the numbers are fine for most sports other than football. I would hope that Rockwood and or Fernadale know by January what their status is for 2014. Im willing to bet that West Pac would drop out of the Hertiage cross over if it only has 10 football members next year, however if there is only 9 West Pac football schools next year I'm sure the West Pac would tweek the cross over schedule.

Does Ridge still play in the sideling hill league for all sports other than football? If so, then wouldn't they be an ideal football only member of the westpac if Ferndale and Rockwood struggle to field teams?

Will any individual WestPAC team try to jump to the Heritage?

Westmont is very competitive in other sports. Why would the punish their other programs just for football? Why would Ridge be a solution if they are concerned with Ligonier being AA also?
