Who do you think are the worst and best coaches for boys in D6

As far as the LHAC goes, I think Roman and Aliquo are the best. Save the Cosie coaches at a Catholic school speech before it gets going, his teams are always well prepared, and they typically don't have a superior talented like they do this year. Roman has been in a complete dry spell as far as talent goes in Westmont, but when he had more than this, his teams were tough.

In my opinion you have to look towards Nevins and Drenning. Central only has 2 of the 5 starters from the preseason. He has done a phenomenal job. But its not like you wouldn't expect it from Coach Nevins. Coach Drenning on the other hand hasn't had to deal with the kind of adversity but in simple terms is just an elite ball coach.

Oh by far Penns Manor. Started with 18 kids and now down to 8. Rumor is it may be 6 soon. The coaches will tell you it's the discipline. The AD shakes his head. The truth is, the boy's saw the writing on the wall. And after loosing every game by 40 to 60 points said they don't want to be part of this. Underclassman that started last year and Bench players that had multiple minutes last year were replaced by players that haven't been on a court since 7th grade. Absolutely no discipline on the court and usually they don't run plays. Just run up and down the floor and throw the ball up from 35 feet. I will admit they did win their first game last night against PL. The bad thing is he is a nice guy. Just doesn't have a clue.

Coach Anders @ Juniata Valley gets the most out of cards he is dealt. There is noway his team should be 14-2 this year with the talent level on that roster. Yes he has experience from last years team but skill wise his players are average. The key is Anders gets his team to actually play as a team and it's great to see his team play unselfish basketball where players make the extra pass and often have 4 sometimes all 5 starters score in double figures. He is still fairly young and seems to become a better coach every year.

Drenning @ BG and Aliquo @BC even though they have "advantages" over the public schools are really good coaches. However, it would be interesting to see how they would fair @ a public school. Head to head Drenning seems to be out coaching his Bishop counterpart winning that D6 title last year and then losing a bunch of seniors and forcing overtime in their first matchup this year to a way more talented BC team.

1basketball - jv is 14 -2 because of experience and their bench and the fact they play in the ICC. 4 of 5 starters have started 3 or 4 years, and the 5th is a 2 year starter. Actually Its the Anders from East Juniata is the Anders that is a good coach.

I wonder how Cosie and Drenning would do at Harmony?

actually Harmony's program consists of players of several schools, so probably about the same or better. The former coach there had a great run in the mid to late 2000's prior to him losing his battle with cancer; cant remember his name, but a wonderful coach and even better person.

Being a good coach has a lot more to do with the X's and O's and unfortunately most peoples standards for measuring a good coach are only measured in wins.

Anders at JV falls way short on a lot of metrics to be categorized as a good coach. For one, his antics and theatrics on the bench are a terrible example - period. He does not support the notion of "team" as he does not develop and mold players into better players, he relies solely on god given abilities and hopes the best five he can conjure can win for him, and I emphasis the "him" part of that statement.

Harmony is not in a co-op with any school for basketball! It's only their kids!
