Manfred,

The Home team is required to call in scores, and the discrepancy in that, is that they call their hometown newspaper and not the visiting team's hometown paper. Because the LHAC spans both Altoona and Johnstown coverage areas, most schools don't call both newspapers. So in this case, the Forest Hills coach should have called in the box score to the Johnstown paper if they wanted their score in the Johnstown paper.

Bringing in subs in a blowout does not get them better. They get better by playing jv and practicing against the varsity.

You can run 4 corners any time your up by 30, it doesn't only have to happen when there is only 2 minutes left. The box scores shows JV was up handily after 3, run 4 corners as its winding down to the start of Q4 perhaps. Perception is a reality my friend, and what people in the bleachers and papers see and feel is a lot different than what you have no issue with. BTW when do you bring in those subs to learn and build for the following years?

Well..I suppose if the starters came back in then who was on the floor for them to come back in for?? Sounds like those kids played most of the 4th quarter. I understand what your saying...It's just my opinion that it is fine...plus..lets be honest..its Bellwood...they have been doing that crap for years...

Ignorance nor arrogance is not within the political context of an answer you should seek and use for justifying common bullying style tactics. Bringing the starters back in was nothing more than an attempt at intimidation and to embarrass or demean and belittle others who have nothing in ones hand to deserve. This kind of stunt is happening way to much both girls and boys sports, and there is absolutely nothing satisfying about it, "even though its Bellwood". I think coaches who are called on the carpet in such occasions should have to answer to questions of motive and be held responsible as such. Excuses such as running a 4 corner "o" to run out the clock or to keep a starter of the other team from scoring their 1000th point is a lame attempt of a normal and thoughtful response to being accused of being a total friggin idiot.

Guarantee if BMCHS or Westy had taken down Tinfoil on Tinfoil's home court, not only would it have been covered or reported by your crew, it would have been the sports page headline.

I don't work for the Tribune.

If the paper assigned someone to the game, it would have been covered. Obviously they didn't. You aren't going to get weekend coverage on a weeknight. Forest Hills failed to call in their score, thus it was not in the paper. School's fault, not the paper.

BEA and PV get back on track while State College drops another. You'd think with 600+ class sizes that they would be able to win more than 1 game…

It's entirely possible that every D6 AAAA team will have a losing record at the end of the season. It will be interesting to see how many enter the D6 tournament. It may only be two teams (i.e. Altoona & Mifflin County).

Bald Eagle Area (13-4) - 73
Philipsburg-Osceola (0-18) - 21

Penns Valley (14-2) - 61
Huntingdon (10-7) - 49

Cumberland Valley (15-4) - 61
State College (1-18) - 44

Clearfield (4-12) - 58
Bellefonte (2-13) - 39

Central Dauhpin East (12-8) - 48
Mifflin County (10-8) - 43

Williamsport (8-9) - 51
Central Mountain (5-10) - 34
