I agree Moldo Penn State should be more worried about Ohio State than a bottom of the pack ACC team. I am pretty sure Franklin is. Now, you should worry about the 8 teams that were ranked ahead of Pitt in the ACC.

Why should I worry about Pitt? I can't help them. I can just root for them. But you Nits take things too hard. That's why it's so much fun "discussing" Penn state with you guys.

To be honest, I think both fanbases should be careful to not drink the koolaid over these recruiting classes.

For Penn State, though it was nice to string together a nice, top 25 class they also trail 2 programs directly in their division of the B1G. If Ohio State consistently recruits like this under Meyer, they will go to 4 out of every 5 B1G Championship games. Penn State's class also seems to be deep but lacking in top level talent. The top player they got is ranked outside the top 100 in most recruiting boards. In college football, the team with the best couple of athletes wins more than loses.

For Pitt, they aren't in the Big East anymore. They are running with some perennial big boys. 9th out of 12 IMO is worse than mediocre. Especially when some of this class will compete for immediate playing time. I know as a fan I'm not happy about ranking 3rd in our conference. Could you imagine my thoughts if Penn State ranked 9th or 10th?

Moldy thinks he is providing a service to PSU fans? =)) That is comical, I can't stop laughing at that one, my co-worker who is a Pitt fan is laugh too. You are like the mental patient who doesn't realize he is mental, so you are perfectly content.`

I agree apk. Penn State's class is good when you look at what it is up against. i.e. sanctions, no bowl game, coaching change, etc. It is not good if you want to compete with Ohio State on a yearly basis. This class and the 2016 class is going to be critical. PSU has no chance to compete with OSU until at least 2016 on the field, imo. Right now they are not competing on equal ground.

I think Franklin did well with the short period of time he had to keep current commits and fill the rest of the class. Also saw where many of the top 2015 PA recruits have PSU high on their lists. I think will a full year to recruit, things will improve. Anxious to see what happens on the field, he has been talking a good game.

Penn State was up against sanctions, no bowl games, coaching changes? How long are you guys gonna beat that dead horse. And besides, I thought playing in front of 100,000 every week was the ultimate football experience, BETTER than a bowl game. We've been told that for a couple of years now. Surely PSU can lure high school kids in with that. And...talk is cheap.

Not to nitpick, but Pitt's class was 7/14. Off a 7-6 record. It's not that bad.

We'll probably beat that dead horse, as long as you keep posting on here MOLD. Seems to bother you a little bit.

On a side note was checking out Pitt's class and they seem to have done well also. While not a top notch class there seems to be some quality players they are bringing in. I think Chryst needs a couple more years and he will start to bring in better recruits, although I still think not having their own on-campus stadium really hurts them. This recruiting rivalry with PSU will surely heat up once they start playing each other. It will be a good thing for the state and both schools.

The recruiting rivalry will pick up once the teams start playing each other again? If so, JoePa did a TERRIBLE disservice to the state of athletics in Pennsylvania.
