Re: Bishop Carroll vs. Monessen
Had they broken rules, wouldn't there be sanctions, restrictions, actual press clippings of suspicions? I just haven't seen any of that regarding this Bishop Carroll basketball team.

Re: Bishop Carroll vs. Monessen
I think this looks like a toss up game. I don't think Carroll will lose to Monessen just because they are a WPIAL team. I think that happens quite often with a team losing just because they are in the WPIAL and before the game even starts they have lost.
Re: Bishop Carroll vs. Monessen
Monessen has played a tougher schedule by a wide margin. BC's out of conference games consisted of the likes of Conemaugh Valley and North Star. Monessen has seen the press and most likely a team that does it better thn BC. BC is very good, but I just have the feeling that Monessen is battle tested and BC is not.
Re: Bishop Carroll vs. Monessen
BC is much better than what they are given credit for and their schedule is not too shabby. I think BC wins and easier than most think.

PIAA does not enforce the rules they have and they don’t look for conflict. If local administrators at public schools don’t care then why should District 6 or PIAA rules committee? Public school coaches and administrators have to start saying no and make the kids and parents go through the process of showing they aren’t transferring for athletic intent.

D6H, In some cases you may be correct. I do believe outside of Scott Holzinger all of these kids are products of the parachioal school system and from the Ebensburg area. Holzinger has been back and forth to CC, but none of the others ever were (at least I think). So in this case, there really cannot be a beef with BC. Ebensburg area Catholic shool kids from the start.
I can't debate you on teams like Lincoln Park or BG girls because I think you are correct in these cases.

Re: Bishop Carroll vs. Monessen
Holsinger has been hurt most of the year and has hardly played. So he has contributed virtually nothing this year.
Re: Bishop Carroll vs. Monessen
Is the game on the radio?
Re: Bishop Carroll vs. Monessen
I think you have the process backwards there. The principal (public or private) that refuses to sign off on the waiver is the party that must supply evidence that a transfer is for an athletic purpose.districtsixhoops wrote:Crimson's Ghost wrote:Had they broken rules, wouldn't there be sanctions, restrictions, actual press clippings of suspicions?
