Girls A State Finals: Shade vs. Berlin

With Shade girls being placed in the eastern half of the bracket this year the odds are in favor of a Berlin vs Shade state title game with both having won their opening round game.

Shade fell to Halifax tonight, so that can't happen now. Did you really think they would make it to the championship game?

Didn't a similar situation come up last year? I believe the Southern Fulton girls made it to the Eastern Final.

In 2010 BG beat Northern Cambria in the state championship. NC came out of the eastern side. It was a rematch of the D6 championship game. That wasn't a big surprise that year, BG was undefeated, and the eastern side of the bracket was a good draw for whoever was the 2 seed from D6 that year. I do believe Bishop Carroll was pretty good that year as well.
