Re: LP-BC
Lincoln Park will play AA next year, but Jeannette drops to A, and Beaver Falls goes up to AAA. So, they enter a watered down AA field. I hope for the love of God that Maverick Rowan transfers to a legitimate Prep school out of state and stops wasting his time playing Bishop Carroll, Johnsonburg, and Forbes Road.

Rowan could reclassify to being a Junior. His age is a bit of a mystery. I think he can do well at Pitt, but he needs competition and Western PA at any level is very weak.

if you want to make a super public class A TEAM you can do it, all you have to do is pay the school tax for your district and pay the school tax for the school you wish to send your kid.konjo78 wrote:Man where are all those BC lovers who called titan and others crazy when they said 20 would be a miracle! I don't feel sorry for BC. I feel sorry for every public school out there that is restricted to their own A school district and not be able to have kids from multiple AA school districts.

I agree with you its 100% ridiculous!!! I just find it funny when private schools complain about charters when they are just a baby version of a charter school.beentheredonethat wrote:if you want to make a super public class A TEAM you can do it, all you have to do is pay the school tax for your district and pay the school tax for the school you wish to send your kid.konjo78 wrote:Man where are all those BC lovers who called titan and others crazy when they said 20 would be a miracle! Re: LP-BC
If JV and Wbrg would combine, which a few short years came one vote away from being a reality, BC, BG and anyone else in D6 could pretty much count on that co-op being in the way of their d6 title dreams. Perhaps losing all of those girls to BG will motivate the Blue pirates and Hornets away from that heritage and into dominance.
Re: LP-BC
Rowan is a sophomore but he is as old as some of the seniors playing.
My understanding is that two things happened 1) his birthday is in July and his parents did not start him in school until he was six years old 2) after finishing 8th grade, his parents held him back from beginning high school and homeschooled him for a year repeating 8th grade (he had already played on the 9th grade basketball team and holding him back was supposedly done by his father to give him an athletic advantage).
So he will be 18 this July. The age rule is that you must not have reached your 19th birthday by June 30th, so because he will not be 19 until July 2015 he will be eligible to play his senior year - but will turn 20 the month after graduation.

Re: LP-BC
I will say it again. What satisfaction is there for LP? Other than to feed their own egos. They are moving up to AA next year but if they had any real guts they would play AAAA. Say what you want about the parochial schools, I have never seen a class A team like that, other than one of the charters from Philly.
