Pat Chambers is a beast!
Re: Pat Chambers is a beast!
Not at the rate it happens under Chambers. And hey voncap, I used Dickerson as an example, not as a main topic. And I brought up BO'B as an example too.
Re: Pat Chambers is a beast!
Talk about a stroke of luck. Less than a week after Graham Woodward announced his transfer from the PSU basketball team, PSU picks up a commitment from JUCO point guard Devin Foster. This wasn't a set up, was it? It's amazing that Foster was AT the Blue-White game yesterday, and committed only 6 days AFTER Woodward's departure. It's a miracle how things happen so fast for coach Chambers. How does a coach with a 3 year losing record get recruits so fast after another kid quits. No collusion here, right? And I'll guess that Shep Garner just about $hit his pants yesterday when he found out. I mean wasn't he heir apparent to Tim Frazier's job? And where does that leave Geno Thorpe? The shyster has struck again.

3 point guards on a roster seems pretty normal.
Re: Pat Chambers is a beast!
No one cares how many are on the roster. It's how he GOT them that matters. Seems a little shifty if you ask me. One kid is told he has no future and leaves. Five days later he is replaced. Coincidence? The shyster has struck again.

Well you mentioned about Thorpe and Garner's now threatened playing time, so I was just saying it's pretty normal to have 3 point guards on a roster.
Re: Pat Chambers is a beast!
Just wondered how Thorpe and Garner were feeling about their new competition. Especially Garner, who had to be feeling pretty good about Woodward leaving. AND how much was he promised by Chambers? That's all.

Re: Pat Chambers is a beast!
Give everyone participation ribbons and trophies! Wouldn't want any competition for spots either let's just hand out the playing time to the guys who have been there the longest. Should have lied to Woodward too and told him everything would be rosy and he would be on the floor at all times and then surprise him once the season starts that he will be riding pine all year. I'm sure Moldo would rip Chambers for that too. It's pretty bad when even Crimson who is a die hard Pitt fan is calling out your ridiculous posts.
Re: Pat Chambers is a beast!
Crimson wasn't calling me out. He just didn't get my point. It wasn't how many point guards you have on a team, it's how they got there. Chambers gets rid of one kid and 5 days later has another to replace himalready. How planned was that? Guess kids are just dying to become a Nittany Lion. And again, why didn't Chambers try to encourage him to stick around. Doesn't sound like he made much of an effort to keep him. And Chambers recruited him and signed him in the first place. It's almost like buying a TV, taking it home for awhile, and then returning it when things don't work out as planned. Get rid of it and get another.

Re: Pat Chambers is a beast!
Who cares how Thorpe and Gardner feel about competition...go out and earn it. Woodward won't be playing anymore for any other D1 school than what he was this past season. He's fortunate to have got the amount of D1 burn he got.
You play to win the game!!!
Re: Pat Chambers is a beast!
There are NOW 6 backcourt players at PSU. Newbill, Thorpe, Johnson, Garner, Washington, and Foster. I'm sure they ALL care about the competition. and we'll see where Woodward ends up. Last year Jermaine Marshall told the world he was turning pro, just to get out of Penn State. He ended up a 5th year senior a Arizona State. Let's see what happens to Woodward.
