April 21- Pirates (Liriano) vs Reds (Leake)
April 21- Pirates (Liriano) vs Reds (Leake)
The next 7 are against the Reds and Cards. Obviously the season isn't decided in April but this is an important set. The Bucs don't want to go 2-5.
Grilli doesn't look like superman right now either. He looks like an almost 40 year old closer. With the talent the Bucs have in the pen I don't think Hurdle will be afraid to make a change but he will be slow to do anything because he has been around long enough that he won't flinch yet.

Liriano= 0-and-4 Not that the pitching has been that bad, but when the starters do hang one in the zone and suffer for it, the bucs bats haven't been bailing them out like we are expecting. A couple pitches either way make a big difference. Why not walk Braun, after burning the grilled cheese the night before? No, groove another right down the pipe. Hapless. Davis has looked like a decent pickup so far, as much for his D as O.
It ain't over until it's over.

Grilli has 0 business remaining as the closer, Melancon, Watson, or Wilson all appear better options.
Bucs have lost 8 of 10, time to right the ship somehow.

Relax people, yes I realize we pretty much gave three games away to the Brewers but it is early. The Brewers are playing at crazy level right now, it wont last. The division will come down to the Cards and Bucs.

I disagree, I think Milwaukee will be better. They are off to a hot start, and steroid man is in the middle of the lineup. Complete jerk or not, Braun is a very good player. He makes a difference. I can't put Cincinnati away just yet, either. Losing Choo hurts them big time, Billy Hamilton is not a very good player, but dang is he fast. Choo was a very dynamic leadoff for them.

Milwaukee has five guys hitting over 300. No way that will last. Braun should be good he is the latest version of a Arod, he will get busted again!

It might not last in that sense, but if my 3-4-5 is some combination of Braun, Aramis, and Carlos Gomez, I'm feeling pretty good if I'm Milwaukee.

Great to see Ike come through with that blast. It could be bigger than we can all imagine if that guy hits like he did in 2012. The average for these guys may struggle, but if I'm a right handed pitcher and I have to deal with Alvarez, Davis, and Walker 4-5-6, that's some serious power to have to handle.

ANOTHER late inning falter, yikes. Just painful ways to lose games.
