Hollidaysburg Boys Basketball Coach
Is anyone hearing who applied and who may be the favorite for the basketball job ? Hopefully they look outside the box and get a young, up and coming coach rather than a "name" to install some excitement back into this program at Hollidaysburg. I am sure the usual guys who apply for "every" job will show up but they need to get someone with varsity experience and someone with enthusiasm. I think it's odd there hasn't been much discussion since Hollidaysburg is a popular school but has anyone heard anything ??? Thanks

With them moving to AAA, I think it becomes an attractive job.

I was told that they want Coach Hurd to take the position. Take it for what it's worth.

Thanks District......I would think they would want a younger coach with the potential
for a successful long term tenure. I agree it's more attractive at the AAA level. Who
are the up and coming coaches that could be a possibility ? Drenning from BG,
Meck from Chestnut Ridge, anyone else come to mind ?

There was a topic a few weeks ago about this, but Drenning makes a lot of sense. He coached their Junior High program for a a few years, including the upcoming junior and senior classes. It would be an easy transition if both sides were willing. He also fared well at BG varsity the past two years.

I agree about Drenning and he would be my first choice.
