I read the Bucs are puching Alen Hanson, Jacoby Jones, and Jose Tabata. Especially Hanson since they don't have a shortstop.

And if they acquire Hanson they still won't have a SS. Lol

The other thing, it may be a bigger deal than beyond Lester. Maybe one of their relievers or Johnny Gomes too. In that case, maybe the Pirates part with Pedro or Marte. And if the Pirates can acquire multiple players from Boston, it may require one of the top 6 prospects they seem keen on keeping.

The big 6 would be - Bell,Meadows, and McGuire as fielders. and Kingham, Taillon, and Glasnow as pitchers. Beyong those 6, anyone is free game according to Perrotto from the BCT.

Lester scratched from Wednesday start...trade reportedly found but giving other teams a chance to make final offers.

Wouldn't be surprising to me of the Buc's aren't trying to get a 3rd team involved to get Pedro moved. Pedro needs to go to the AL at this point. I could see Pedro to an AL contender, Bell to Boston, Lester and a bench player or bullpen arm to Pittsburgh.

Lester, Uehara, Carp, Gomes, Middlebrooks for Pedro, Marte, Hanson, Sampson, and Meadows....multiple people even employees were reading it to me off of their phones

That would be a horrible deal. Littlefield wouldn't make that. That had to be posted as a joke. I love Gomes , Lester and Uhara help a lot now , but all of them except Uhara are Free agents at end of year, and Lester said he's going back to Boston if he's traded.
