10 Best Games IMO

1. #5 Auburn at #20 Kansas State Thursday ESPN 7:30
I like Kansas State to upset Auburn in front of a big Thursday night showcase.

2. #22 Clemson at #1 Florida State 8:00 ABC
I think FSU sweeps the floor with Clemson.

3. Miami at #24 Nebraska Saturday 8:00 ESPN2
Miami at Nebraska would be an awesome game 20 years ago, still should be fun to watch. I'll take Nebraska

4. #4 Oklahoma at WVU Saturday 7:30 FOX
OU at WVU. The 'Eers played Bama tough in a de-facto road game, now they get a comprable opponent in Motown? OU in a shootout.

5. UVA at #21 BYU Saturday 3:30 ESPN
The Hoos coming off a big win, BYU looks impressive. Could be the non Power 5 team to get the big bowl berth.

6. UNC at ECU Saturday 3:30 ESPNU
UNC was preseason ranked, but haven't looked good yet. ECU coming off a big win at Va Tech. I'll take ECU

7. Florida at #3 Alabama Saturday 3:30 ESPNU
A big game in name, but Florida isn't on Alabama's level. I'll take the Tide.

8. Miss State at #8LSU Saturday 7:00 ESPN
A pair of 3-0 SEC teams, we'll find out if LSU is for real or not. They got a lot of respect for beating UL Monroe for some reason.

9. Northern Illinois at Arkansas Saturday 7:00 ESPNU
NIU is 3-0, and this could be their big win to make a case for the non power 5 big bowl berth.

10. Cal at Arizona Saturday 10:00
Both teams are undefeated.

If I had to make my picks right now for the Six Major Bowls.

Sugar - Florida State (1) vs. Alabama (4)
Rose - Oregon (2) vs. Oklahoma (3)

Cotton - Baylor vs. Wisconsin
Orange - Notre Dame vs. Auburn
Fiesta - Michigan State vs. BYU
Peach - UCLA vs. Duke

I think the B1G gets left out of the semifinals unless someone goes on a major run. Even so, an undefeated Big Ten shouldn't outrank an undefeated team from the other four major leagues. I still think two teams manage to get into the major bowls. I think Michigan State should be able to beat OSU, Michigan, and Penn State to secure that division, even with one loss they can finish 10-2 heading into the B1G championship game. Wisconsin can legitimately win out from this point forward.

I believe a non power 5 team has to qualify for one of the big bowls, and I think BYU fits the bill, they can play and the Texas win is a very solid win despite Texas not being at their best. I think Notre Dame at 10-2 makes a major bowl, but the more I look at their schedule, they might not get to 10 wins. Stanford, Florida State, Arizona State, and USC are all currently ranked teams the Irish still need to play. Not to mention UNC and Louisville aren't complete pushovers.

As far as a second ACC team goes, I have Duke picked right now but it could be a lot of different teams. Anyone from the Coastal can be in the running if they go on a run, or Clemson could make a push if they go 10-2. Louisville also could be in the running. This one will take a while to play out.

The Pac 12 has some quality teams behind Oregon like USC,UCLA,Stanford, and Arizona State. All can be in the running for a big bowl, just depends how it shakes out.

The SEC is impossible to guess what will happen. Just in the SEC West alone, six teams are still undefeated, and realistically there isn't a lot of separation between most of them.

Oklahoma and Baylor are clearly the two best in the Big 12, I suppose Kansas State is a dark horse in that matter.

I'm really intrigued with this Auburn-K State game tonight. I think Auburn could be in trouble playing on the road. The KSU QB can really play, should be a good one.
