James Poldiak is an assistant at BG along with Justin Wheeler who is the head coach...Interesting as they are both teachers at PC. Go to the BG Action Plan topic...hmmm.

crimson: It's NOT who PROVIDES the finances for BM's Lift Scholarships. Local businesses give BM the $100,000 for 20 9th grade scholarships. But it's WHO selects the kids for the scholarships that matters, and WHY they are selected that counts. BM is in charge of picking the students who will enter their school. If 35 kids apply, how do they decide who gets the 20. Is it the smartest 20 kids? Or is it kids who have something to offer Bishop McCort? Who decides, and why, is the question.

Crimson is being an annoying 3rd grader trying to play devil's advocate. He obviously sees the problem you all (me also) are eluding to, but decides to go with the "I don't know" attitude. I'm SURE if it came down to the best (enter musical instrument here) player in the area, and the best RB in the area the RB would get the scholarship. Crimson either A is too proud that his school cheats the system, B is too uneducated to see his school cheats the system or C likes the "neener neener neener" way of thinking.

I attended McCort and graduated years ago, I don't have any association with the school now and haven't for a few years now.

I think my point is being lost in the matter, it frankly doesn't matter what kid A pays to go to school and what kid B pays to go to school. Nobody is unearthing some earth shattering secret protected by the Knights Templar. If kid A wants to go to McCort, his or her parents will be able to pay for it or they won't be. Some may be able to qualify for financial aid, some may receive a scholarship. Who cares if some of the kids play sports and some are in the school play. I guess my point is, What if it came out of the 20 LIFT Scholarships 1 played football. You guys would just move on to some new theory anyway. I'm not defending McCort, since in a matter so trivial like how a kid pays for school is, it doesn't need defended.

Because we all know that athletes will get preferred treatment (regardless of finicial situations) for the full rides over the kids who are non athletes. Don't play dumb.

Well if you truly think McCort is recruiting and offering them scholarships they are obviously doing a poor job at it. Maybe they need to hire some new scouts.

The Left Guard pays full tuition, the trumpet player gets a Lift Scholarship. No wait, the Left Guard gets the Lift Scholarship and the Trumpet player pays full tuition. Oh yeah, that's awful, I see what you mean. That makes all the difference in the world.
