Kershaw did drop big time. But still you avoid the fact hes not top 10 in tackles, sacks or forced fumbles after 7 games this year. There is nothing special about his play this year! Don't win an mvp based on 2012 or 13

As I've said before, JJ Watt has more "QB hits" than some entire NFL teams.

So what that means since I'm sure you don't know what that stat means, JJ Watt can apply more pressure single handily than some entire teams. He affects the QB more often than entire teams. He pressures QBs, forces rushed and bad throws, and makes entire offenses plan around him.

The Texans wouldn't have a win without him. Period. That's MVP kinda stuff.

You can keep fighting it, but it's not media hype around JJ Watt. Many NFL players and General Managers, owners, coaches will tell you the same thing we are all telling you right now. You just look foolish making an argument less than .01 football fans would make.

Konjo loves to create a side of an argument that nobody else has and then argue it until he is blue in the face. I stopped arguing with him when he said Max Talbot and Jordan Staal are better hockey players than Crosby...In hockey he argues that good players play good defense and leadership beyond just the stat line. So we have Watt who is even a better class act than he is a player, plays defense, and has a stat line effected by double teams and triple teams.

BTW I literally spit my coffee on my keyboard when reading that he tires quickly. He plays every single play and most of them through a double team. There isn't another DL in the league that could do that.

Yeah at some point, why keep going on with these silly little arguments? He made up his mind and will never change it.

All will having every team focus their blocking game plan around containing him. I'd say that is a darn good player.

For this qb hit stat how come he still isn't top 10 in sacks or hasn't even forced a fumble? Those are the things that make a huge difference in games. Sure he can hit a qb after the ball is gone but it does no good if thay qb is completing those passes. I want to see stats that are game changing not after the fact. He's not top 10 in tackles or sacks and haa yet to force a fumble, these are the things he needs to be doing.

Texans would win games without him. Mercyhurst did more for the Texans last night on defense than watt by a mile but hey he won't get any love because espn can't market him

Double and triple teams, entire offenses revolving their game plan around him? I mean, you do watch football, right?

He rarely got double teamed last night though... and my point about planning the game around him isn't a have to thing its a, "well if they are going to give us that yards per play then why not take it" sort of thing. Its like when a defense plays 10 yards off the Wrs and Qbs just throw for 4-6 yards every play. Is it flashy? Not really but its super effective. For watt you just let him try to bull rush, step up and dump the ball off to where he was and its a wide open field. If they start to cover the RB then the slot receiver will be wide open behind the Lbs.

Was I the only one who noticed Watt was a non factor last night?

Yes. But you are also the only one that doesn't think Watt is very good, and that's the thing that makes you like foolish.
