Quest for 76

Post by knowitall »

My 76ers lost to Indiana in their opener last night. Will they lose 75 more?

I don't know 10-72 seems really possibly.

Michael Carter-Williams is good. He was out last night, right?

If you keep drafting where Philly is drafting eventually it will work out. I look at Charlotte and Washington being respectable now days, and how enough bad seasons and how that equals enough high draft picks that eventually work out.

Most teams recently that have turned it around have started with a good point guard. So Philly has that going for themselves, now maybe start drafting other players that can actually play and not have to sit out with injuries.

Mcw is out til nov13 from what I saw. And top pick May or may not play til March. Noel looks legit, if he and other 2 potential players are healthy next year to go with whatever lotto pick they get this year.... They could be a .500 team as early as next year. 65-70 losses this year is a given I believe. They'd almost have to try to hit 72+

I think it is going to happen. The Sixers are so bad that this basketball site http://grantland.com/the-triangle/nba-r ... cavaliers/ gave the Sixers their own category.

Soooo here are the top 10 picks by NBADraft.net

1. Emmanuel Mudiay (Playing in China, skipped college) PG
2. Karl-Anthony Towns Kentucky frosh. C
3. Jahlil Ohafor Duke frosh. C
4. Kelly Oubre Kansas frosh. SF
5. Stanley Johnson Arizona frosh SF
6. Caris LeVert Michigan Jr. SG
7. Montrezel Harrell Louisville Jr. PF
8. Bobby Portis Arkansas SO. PF
9. Kristaps Porzingis Latvia PF
10. Cliff Alexander Kansas Frosh. PF

So assuming in a perfect world, the core of this Philadelphia team is MCW at PG, Noel at PF, and EMbiid at C. I think if he's available, and it turns out he is the top prospect, they have to take Mudiay, right? MCW or not, gotta take the best player available I would think.

I guess in theory I'm a Knicks fan, and they certainly look like they can suck as bad as Philly this year. And believe it or not, the Knicks actually own their own first round pick this year.

i agree with PTI that the NBA needs to find a way to penalize this team for what they are doing!
