So you would agree with me that these playoffs are worthless and that the season should have ended two weeks ago, right?

Where did you go to school?
I dont feel that it fair to a team as good as Neshannock that they are out and a district 5 team that probably could not beat any of the top four out of district 7 will say that they were in the top eight

I do not believe that Berlin could beat avonworth, north catholic, clariton or Neshannock
Would like to see the basket ball playoff bracket type tournament for football
In the seven years that D 5 &6 were combined , D 5 won one title so they could not even beat D6

Neshannock had its chance. Football is one and done. I do think it is quite ridiculous that teams that don't win its district still can win a state title in basketball.

Youngbuck, I'm pretty sure that other than this year's BG team, none of D6 would've beaten the D7 Champ. So if it were D6 playing them every year would you be singing the same tune? The Pittsburgh champ of 27 schools get to play a tune up game against the winner of 9 teams. Who cares if D5 only one of the games when the districts were combined. Combining D5/D6 would only make the area as a whole stronger. Instead of the 5-5 teams making playoffs you could have teams with much better records going head to head. Anyhow yes, this is Meyersdale/Berlin thread so let's not beat the dead horse.

This game at Somerset on turf, gonna fun and fast.

D5 should not be penalized for being way smaller than every other district. Ideally, the districts would be more evenly drawn up but thats on the PIAA, not the schools. Its not possible to have a football bracket like basketball. There are way too many schools and there would be too many games. So unless they redraw the districts, this is just how its going to be. Obviously district 7 with 7 times the A schools as district 5 should have 6 or 7 teams better than district 5's best team.

I 100% agree with combining the districts but unlike last time D5 should not get any guaranteed spots

Hank District 6 teams have had some battles with D7, District 5 has scored 7 points in seven years. Bc went toe to toe with a Rochester team back to back years
.check some stars

Clairton ? Port Allegheny ?

So on the Run of Clairton over the last five years, they have won D7 138-46
they have destroyed District 5 ------------------------------------- 221 - 0,
( the best team out of D5 has not scored a single point on Clairton in 5 years and given up an average of 44 points per game.)
The 9/10 winner against Clairton has been outscored 115 -44 in the western final over the last 4 years

I don't see why District 5 wouldn't draw the WPIAL under the current playoff system, it only makes sense.
