I think I will take in the McCort/Johnstown game.

--Bishop Carroll should be able to take it to PC, but if the Panthers can play at a good pace, maybe they make it close. I'm just not so sure PC has the guards to handle that press.

-- Bedford and Westy is a tough one. Both teams are better than they have been, but still not great teams. I'll give the edge to Westmont at home.

-- Heights have lost 3 games by a total of 11 points, they can probably keep it close. BG is still getting their basketball legs, only their second game. I'll still take BG.

-- Somerset looks good already, I think they handle Richland.

-- Johnstown is good, but got humbled a bit on Saturday. McCort always plays them tough at home. I'm heading to the game, I'll try and post updates.

-- FH will have to play well, I think CC is pretty tough to beat at home.

First, give CC credit, they made their foul shots down the stretch in the 4th. But, FH could've won this game. Played well, and led after 3 Qrtrs, 34-32. FH had played a patient game, working the ball around, until they got good, high percentage looks, getting inside to their Bigs. Controlled the TO's. Then, and I'm still scratching my bald head about this,...in the 4th, several players started launching intercontinental shots from 6'-8' outside the 3pt line?? Almost like, when the ball handler crossed midcourt, the ball turned into a hot potato, gotta-shoot-now-panic!! Hmmm, Not successful. Oh well, maybe the Boswell Tournament Fri-Sat will see them get back on track.

Boswell Jaycees Tournament
FH Girls take Championship, stay Undefeated (9-0). Though, North Star gave em all they wanted.

FH Boys win this Tournament for the 1st time in 11 tries. Pick up 2 W's, now 5-4. Only 6 W's away from Playoff Eligibility. No games this week, then back to LHAC opponents.

Congrats to both Ranger squads on the golds. The championship game showed the differences between a middle-tier Westpac team, and a middle-tier LHAC team. Mt. Pleasant was an unknown factor, after having won this tournament the past 2 years. Not quite the same squad. Ranger Ladies need to learn to finish their layups, protect the ball better, and better clutch foul shooting to continue this success.
It ain't over until it's over.
