Re: Bowls
Bahh ha ha ha ha I'm sorry but on every social media account right now it's pure laughter at Shittsburgh Football. What a collapse and embarrassment or what should be called the "theme" for Pitt. I'm glad Narduzzi was in the house to see first hand the absolutely garbage mess he's now the leader of. I hope Titan and Moldo enjoyed this one.....sorry for people like Crimson who I actually respect.DragonsDoExist wrote:Wow Pitt Wow

Re: Bowls
I appreciate that.
Hey, what can you do? They gave it away, Narduzzi era starts now. Chryst era started with a loss to Youngstown and ended with a loss to Houston, hopefully the next guy can do it better.

Re: Bowls
The bar is set so low it would be impossible for Narduzzi to be unable to approve. It's very difficult to go .500 in College football. We seen how poor PSU was this year and they managed to go 6-6. Imagine doing it for 4 straight years.
During Sanctions,
Penn State 21-15
Pitt 19-20
I bet reading some of the posts regarding Pitt football and Penn State football after the sanctions were announced would be comical now

Re: Bowls
I'm pretty sure Narduzzi won't be taking any of the assistants back to Pittburgh with him after that debacle!
On a side note while watching Iowa get blown out...Kirk Ferentz is the 10th highest paid coach in college football. Why?

Re: Bowls
Kirk Fetentz was Pat Fitzgerald before Pat Fitzgerald. Hot commodity that went away rather quickly. Many thought people would try to poach him away a few years ago, and now he's just a really highly paid, average coach.

Re: Bowls
This was a sad year for Pennsylvania schools. Its not going to get any easier with Ohio state taking solid recruits away and harbaugh potentially being in the same area for recruits. Let's just drink away and forget the miserable college season of 2014 for PA teams
Re: Bowls
PortagePride: Not sure embarrassment is the right word. An embarrassment is when your head coach $hits himself during a game and then runs across the field to change his pants before halftime. Hey, it wasn't exactly Sid Bream sliding across home plate. Just another disappointment in a season of disappointments. The key to the game, with over 6 minutes to go, was Pitt holding a 31-13 lead inside Houston's 15. After a run play, they threw 2 incomplete passes and ended up settling for a field goal. If they RUN the ball those 2 times, you eat up 60 minutes (or made Houston use their time-outs) and time would have run out at the end. The clock is your friend when you have a big lead. Maybe the interim coach could have done a better job of time management. One advantage of getting older is, this kind of stuff doesn't really bother me anymore. In fact, a loss to NC State on the hardcourt tomorrow will bother me more than today's finish. A new era at Pitt started today after the game ended. Pitt fans should hope for the best.

Exactly what I told my boy. It's the end of one chapter of Pitt football. They start fresh tomorrow.
