Re: Bowls
As far as I am concerned, it's always a great day when the team you follow, win or lose, has an athletics program and a university that values honesty, integrity, and fair play. More importantly, football is a game, not the way one defines their life like it does for so many fans who genuflect to a (deceased) cult icon football coach, create shrines in His honor, and rebel by filing lawsuits to restore the honor that never existed in the first place and the 409 victories that were accrued at the expense of innocent children.
Football is a game which should never be placed ahead of the safety and welfare of human beings, much less children. Football Saturdays, 100,000 cultists in the stands, and money should never be the bane of existence for a fan base.
Even the most colossal collapse in NCAA Football Bowl history won't change the despicable acts against children that were perpetrated and ignored in the name of a university and a football coach, nor will the collapse ever compare to the nauseating atrocities which occurred at Penn State.
A great day to be a Pitt football fan? Indeed it is.

Salty??? Lol cracks me up!!! Wastes his time typing all that garbage that 90% of the board can't even see! And the other 10% just laugh at!
You play to win the game!!!
Re: Bowls
For the most pitthetic Pitt fans Jerry Sandusky getting arrested and convicted was the best thing to happen to Pitt since Dan Marino connected with John Brown to beat Georgia in the Sugar Bowl over three decades ago.

Re: Bowls
Shittsburgh gets another mockery made of them in the greatest 4th Quarter Comeback in Bowl Game history and what do the typical Pitt fans do in here.....they somehow try and connect Penn State, JoePa and the Portage High School Football Coach to this loss. I seriously love Pitt fans when they try and deflect their programs patheticness to just random other things that have NOTHING to do with the laughing stock of what happens on the field with their team.
Re: Bowls
But Pitt fans have reason to be over optimistic. Steve Pederson was fired! The Wisconsin OC was replaced by the Michigan State DC. Kirk Ferentz may be the tenth highest paid college football head coach in the land but he will leave that job to become the highest paid college special teams coach in the land at Pitt who will now spend more money on assistant coaches. The talent in the football dying northeast will rapidly improve and the college football landscape will shift. Steve Pederson being fired will not only help Pitt but it will also help BC, Temple, Rutgers, Penn State and even Portage! Open the book to Chapter 11!

Lol, the Pirates should have kept Dave Littlefield, right? Anyone with an administrative position in sports are all the same I guess.

Yeah, because I totally run around talking about the Penn State scandal.
If athletic directors didn't matter, why did Michigan hire a new one?
