Think BIG PICTURE little man...and...Richland would still be in the same conference playing the same teams...it's state playoff time this would come into effect. you know, like it ALREADY does when Richland goes AA and Somerset goes AAA...wow...knowitall wrote:Can I get a boo hoo hoo for Pine Richland?
And who wouldn't rather watch richland play Claysburg-Kimmel or Glendale than Central Cambria or Somerset?
You're only young once, but you can be immature forever!!!

Little man? Aren't we a bit defensive?
Four classifications is two too many.
And my comment about Richland was in response to the comment about single a teams being in the same league as triple a teams.

And what happens when the 5A school with 412 kids loses to the 5A school with 600?
To paraphrase Aliquippa's coach, "we're just a little quad A team going up a six headed monster"
Then we'll have eight classes

Re: is it time for 6 classes?
far from it...do some math, if you can....the 6 class evens out the spread nicely. the quips would be in a good spot, basically at the top of 1a or the could choose to basically play where they're at, 2a...bad example. And I happen to know he's on board with the 6 class idea. so......keep shooting, eventually your bullet will leave the barrelknowitall wrote:And what happens when the 5A school with 412 kids loses to the 5A school with 600?

You aren't very bright are you? I was using his comment in reference to two hypothetical 5A teams (based on your post on page one) with 410 and 600 boys respectively. That's a 190 kid difference. Poor, poor, poor 410 High. They shouldn't have to compete with 600 high. 5A is too big. We need two more classes.
My post had nothing to do with Aliquippa other than to borrow his comment about poor old single A Aliquippa having to play big bad almost triple A South Fayette

Re: is it time for 6 classes?
brighter than you think....right now that same 410 boy school is playing against teams nearly 100 boys less or more. the teams at the bottom of THEIR bracket are playing against teams 190 more....as for that 600 team..or even 500...they face teams 600, 800 and in some cases 1000 more....THAT is where this gets its fixed....again, THINK BIG PICTURE, not little...knowitall wrote:You aren't very bright are you? Re: is it time for 6 classes?
My point exactly just like the LHAC. YOU HAVE Johnstown, Somerset and bedford with approx 175 more boys than the single A teams (BM, BC BG. CH. AND WH)
Play by class or at least close to class just like the WPIAL

How many boys does Hempfield have? How about Butler? What have they won lately?
Again, can I get a boo hoo hoo for Pine Richland? Give those boys medals! They're champions of something aren't they?

Re: is it time for 6 classes?
Well Knowitall with your philosophy Claysburg might as well open with Altoona and Hollidaysburg to start the season.
