I don't even think it was that. They did it because Charlie Batch thought it would be a good idea.

I know Batch stepped in before when there was a brawl a year or two ago. I want to say Brentwood students, mostly white town, had kids in their student section dress up like monkeys and bananas when they played Monessen, a predominantly black town. Batch stepped in, the newspapers were called - same type of deal.

I thought Batch initiated. I could be wrong. But like I typed last night, it doesn't really matter. I don't see the PIAA taking any action against the whole team. Nor, in my opinion, should it.

Look, even I find the video as a little bit disingenuous, but in this day of social media I'm sure several players reached out via twitter and FB to apologize for what has happened.

what part of what I said is FOS? sorry buck, it's all truth. It still disgusts me to this day the scene that unfolded after that game until the buses left. If you weren't on that field, you have no idea what it looked like. I was, and it made me sick.

Penalties levied by Clairton School District to football team as voted and accepted by PIAA...

Coach Wade suspended 1 game and must attend coaching and mentoring classes.

Team on probation for 1 season.

Players and staff must complete sportsmanship class.
