Strength of schedual and other things do matter that will help Carroll in this one, However there is not a person around here that can guard Drew Shubik and that makes such a difference. IF he is not on his best shooting game, he will penatrate to the basket and make the defense collapse on him and he'll kick to 3 fairly good shooters in Neri,Druist, and Mignogna. Also, NS i think will want this one a lot more because Shubik just hates to lose no matter who he plays and he will try his absolute hardest to win this one because they do not want to be "down" going into a BIG WEEK next week for them when the host Windber onm Wednesday and go to CT on Friday night, I would say they are trying to win out, no matter who the opponent is and what it matters for their rankings, they really want the #1 or #2 seed so they can host a home game. However, if the go on the road, I don't think it matters because last year they went to Tussey and to CT and beat both teams, which we're just as good as them. So, they can pretty much play anywhere. However, with all that said, if Shubik is off, the Cougars could be in for a long night because if he's off it is like playing without him and without Drew last week the Cougars lost to CT and go pretty well spanked by CV. My prediction is going to be NS:59 BC:54 in one of the better games this season. Best of Luck to both teams. Should be a great game, hopefully I'll not have to work and can come watch the showdown between these 2 area powers.

both teams run a 4 guard set and no one can guard shubik 1on1 in d5 or d6...bc has the size in the post but the 6'8'' plays soft and hornick might be 6 foot but he plays very tough....plus brock lauer is suspensed for the game....this should rank in one of the top 5 games of the regular season all fans from both schools should attend and ne neutral observers should coem if they wanna see a real game

I would challenge that Willie Morse of State College would play circles around Mr. Shubik. He is already committed to D-1 Atlantic 10 contender St. Boneventure, where is Shubik going?
And BC also beat Johnstown this season, so it's all about which team shows up. I also heard that the refs were pretty bad in the Somerset game and kids that looked like they had no bussiness being on the floor were making 3's from deep.

Sports999 I agree that Willie Morse is a good player, but to go and say that he'd play circles around Drew Shubik is just insane! Drew is a great player and practices basketball 24/7. He's in so many different leagues and AAU Teams that travel all trhoughout the entire country. I'm not trying to start a mouth battle or anything, but to say that is just not right man. They both are sensational players, and it would be a great 1on1 battle because both can change their games to when they are against somebody just as good as them to try and get the upper edge. It would be a great match-up, not a blowout. Also, Drew as I last heard has committed to Sacred Heart in Conneticut. Whether he transfers after 2-years or what else he's deciding to do, I don't know at all.

Obviously I was exaggerating a little, but I do think Willie is the better player. He lead his team to a State title and scored some sort of insane amount of points on Chester(the best team in AAAA last year) like 38 or 40something against them. The A-10 is a step above the NEC if you ask me. W~T could probably elaborate a little more. Don't get me wrong, Shubik is a great player, but there are people out there who can cover him...

i agree with you totally Sports999 Shubik is a good player and there are people that can guard him. What i meant to say the first time was that no one in d-5 can guard him. There are a good many ppl that can guard him in the area and stuff. Theyre both sensational and i wish them both the best of luck in their futures and i hope i get to use them both on March Madness 2005!
