I saw that Stoystown had a Rockwood kid on their roster the past 2 years. And you're right about Berlin, Somerset gets the Berlin kids.

I stand corrected. It's only been a few years since Meyersdale folded.

Beech Creek 12, Saints 2 (7). Too many hits against not enough hits. Other bracket: Latrobe 6, Claysburg all stars 5. Guess AM was on a pitch count. Mifflin Co. beat Young Twp., I forgot the score, and Murrysville beat Blairsville 7-1.

Figured the Cambria-Somerset entries wouldn't even get an overnight, hope they didn't unpack their suitcases.

If Peyton Reesman pitched for Mifflin County, I can see why they won. He will be the best pitcher in District 6 next year, was the best LHP this year. 6'5" 220, tops at 91, Pitt commit.

Peyton Reeseman not on Mifflin County Legion roster.

Claysburg positioned pretty well in the bracket to make a run back to the regional final.

Since some teams only played 1 game on Sat., and it's dbl. elim., they do get to "unpack their bags". This regional could stretch into Wed. after looking at the sched., and that's not accounting for any rain-outs.

At least according to the clock, Claysburg went down -before- St. M., losing 2-1. Saints drop a tough one as well, 5-3. Leading 3-2 through 7. Several errors did them in. I'm happy with 22-6 record.

Quite a run for St. Michael and quite a feat hanging around in the regional with the Quad-A big boys. They have to be ecstatic about their season.
I'd imagined tremendous disappointment for Claysburg, though. I'm sure they'll be good next year, but you have to think they missed their window these past two years with that pitching they're now losing.

What's with the Quad A boys crap? A built in excuse for losing to a better team? Latrobe is a small town of 8000 or 1/3 the size of Johnstown.
