#RavensWeek
Big Steelers game coming up on Thursday night. The Black and Gold will look to make it a 3-1 start, but as you might have heard - no Ben Roethlisberger this week, or for at least 4-5 more. It's a tough task for the Steelers to win a game without their team MVP, but with arguably the best running back in the game, arguably the best receiver in the game, and a reliable tight end, plus a line that has been playing better than usual - you would think those guys can mask a 35 year old Michael Vick on offense.
Obviously Michael Vick will need to make some throws and space the ball to utilize all of the weapons this offense possesses. I do not believe the deep passing plays will be there, but Vick should be able to make some intermediate throws and get the ball to Antonio Brown. Le'veon Bell's responsibility will likely go way up, but as we've seen through the years, it won't be easy to run the ball right at Baltimore.
Speaking of Baltimore, the Steelers can effectively end their playoff hopes in week four. I know that statement sounds crazy with so many games left, but everyone keeps mentioning the last 0-3 team to make the playoffs was in 1998, so how are the chances for an 0-4 team to make the playoffs? I can't imagine the numbers are on the side with an 0-4 team. Having said all that, Baltimore will be desperate. They are a good team still, and Pittsburgh is trying to win with a newly signed backup quarterback on a short week.
I think in this rivalry (one of the few actual rivalries in the NFL), you can throw personnel out the window, and you can obviously throw records out the window as well. Didn't the Steelers win in Baltimore with Charlie Batch at QB? Sometimes this game can be hard to predict, but it's always fun to watch.

One of my main concerns with Vick is his ball security. In 3 starts last year with the Jets he fumbled 5 times. Lost the ball twice in limited action on Sunday, while only one was recorded as an actual fumble the other he lost as he was going out of bounds.

Agreed, he seems shaky when he's running/scrambling with the ball, and he's not quite as fast as he used to be. I think the key for Thursday is just getting the ball into Brown and Bell's hands as much as possible.

With the broken hand if Spaith, it looks like Penn State product Jesse James will have a roster spot for several weeks.
These short weeks are crazy. Steelers will be missing Roethlisberger, Pouncey, Spaith, Shazier, McCullers, and C Allen is questionable. The Ravens are without (LT) Monroe, (TE) Gillmore, (LB) Suggs, (WR) Perriman, (DL) Canty.
Literally it's beginning to look like a JV game. I know the QB loss for the Steelers seems the most meaningful but losing both a LT and TE for the Ravens is probably equally damaging to their hopes.

Scobee should be fired

Missed one early and one that should've sealed the game. I agree.
