Just thought I would comment here. I think BG will win the title again. They shouldn't be in "A" ball though! They have no boundaries and had 2 linemen transfer from "AAAA" Altoona this year! Hollow victory from where I am standing. As far as the LHAC being so much better than the west pac this year .I'm not sold. Bedford had their way with everyone and lost first round to Karns City. I personally think the LHAC has been down for a few years with the exception of BG.

No fluke, they also beat Sharpsville who in my opinion was better then Berlin, Clairton and Farrell. Farrell is also the most charmed team I've seen in a number of years. You think the win over Berlin was crazy you should have seen the last end of the d10 title game vs Sharpsville.

The LHAC is certainly down and has been for the past 3-4 years.  It's still the best of the 5 local leagues IMO. Hard to call Bedford out for losing a state playoff game on Karns City's home field. Tough draw for them.  Bedford played Karns City close, Karns City played Aliquippa close, so did Central.  Seemed to be some parity in Western PA AA this season.  I would love to see Bedford and Central play.

I'm not here beating my chest "rah rah the LHAC is the best ever" but it's just my honest opinion it's better than the other 4 leagues.  There's obviously teams outside the league in the region that are really good.  It's splitting hairs sometimes though, and it's a topic that gets way out of hand quickly on here that people take too personally.

Having said that, Berlin is an awfully good team. I don't know why their fans should feel the need to validate their team. It was the best season in school history, and they were 55 seconds from Hershey. That's pretty darn good.

Predicting any team by 30 in a state final is awful gutsy. As for the fluke, did you see stats? Total yards: Farrell - 537, Berlin - 174. Berlin's coach even said they just didn't match up with their line. He also said Farrell is better than Clairton (source).

Here we go with private school bashing....yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn
