Berlin Vs Farrell - Western Final A
Re: Berlin Vs Farrell - Western Final A
Because he has the heart of a champion. The whole team does.
Re: Berlin Vs Farrell - Western Final A
LeSean McCoy missed 10 games his senior season. He was averaging 223 yards per game prior to that. In AAAA.

How good were the teams McCoy played against in high school?CoffinCorner wrote:Yes he did rush for a lot of yardage against some incredibly weak competition. Let it sink in that shady mccoy was outstanding in college and is currently in the NFL. Fochtman will be neither. Wonder how many yards Mccoy would have had on the westpac

Here is my argument to that. Yes, guys like McCoy played better competition, but he most likely also had better teammates. His QB, line, WR probably all better. You aren't comparing apples to apples here. Yes he plays against lesser competition but with worse teammates than someone like McCoy.
Re: Berlin Vs Farrell - Western Final A
This doesn't matter, but: LeSean McCoy averaged 10.71 yards per carry. The next leading rusher averaged 5.88 (he got a scholarship to Syracuse). That's a difference of 4.88 YPC with the same team. Braden Fochtman averaged 8.2 yards per carry. The next leading rusher averaged 5.6 (and he's not going D1). That's a difference of 2.6 YPC with the same team. As a corollary, do you think LeSean McCoy's backup (who played CB at Syracuse) would have more YPC or less YPC if he played for Berlin?TheAnalyst wrote:Here is my argument to that. Can we stop comparing him to Shady? We know McCoy is better, he's in the NFL. It's still just interesting to see all the yards whenever Braden was only in for the first half most games. He probably could've been close to number one had he played in games as long as Bragalone the Southern Wilpo kid

I don't really care about who would've, could've, or should've. All I know is that both helped their teams knock off behemoth's - Berlin over Clairton, Pitt over #2 WVU, and that's cool with me.

Those are all great numbers, if you want to see real numbers go and look up Derek Henery's senior year in high school. He had 4261 yards rushing and 55 td's. So all that tells me is sometimes numers can mean how good you are but sometimes injuries or your size can make or break you moving on to the next level.
