Re: Hackenberg to Turn Pro
Well first dixon and franklin are in 2 different situations.... one is at a job where theyve made tournaments and a lot of sweet 16s between 2000-2010 and has done nothing but drop the program since.
The other is taking over a team that has a lot to overcome. Even if sanctions got lifted early recruiting someone to penn state will he harder than most schools. The fact penn state hasnt posted a losing season since the scandal is quite amazing. A whole different scenario then a team who used to be a top 10 consistent team dropping to severly average.

Dixon has taken Pitt to 3 Sweet 16's in his tenure... thats just one less than Pitt has been to in the previous 46 years. I don't think thats considered a drop to the program.
*disclaimer* I loathe Pitt Basketball but I enjoy facts, something Konjo has a tough time grasping.

I mean if your prized recruit said "If the James Franklin rumors aren't true - then I'll remain committed"
That's at least noteworthy that a 17 year old kid has heard Franklin is in a bit of trouble.

Re: Hackenberg to Turn Pro
See you can compare dixons reign to others in pitt history but you hate to start comparing the last 6 years to the first 6.... why? Because its taken a huge dip in terms or recruiting and performance.

Re: Hackenberg to Turn Pro
You can say controversial but do we want to bring up those stats? Because they look like the stats of a coach that could lose his job
Re: Hackenberg to Turn Pro
I could go to ESPN.com just like you. I didn't say you were wrong this time. You're just a world-renowned expert on all that you know. If you noticed I referred to you as Mark Madden in a previous post because, like Mr. Madden, you let people call in, but tell them they're all wrong and you're right and it's your show.
I applaud you. You make my day go by faster and I'm always excited to hear what momma has to say on the subject.
Anyhow, I do think The Hackenberger will prosper better in the NFL than McCoy, Quinn, Bradford, and Leinhart.

I agree with your statements about those other prospects. Only close one is bradford, injuries killed his hot start.
Being a good qb in the nfl has a lot to do with being in the right place at the right time

I love when people try putting someone down then have a quote saying, "I didnt say you were wrong".... its just funny. Some people just want to fight others because they understand things more.
