Great game today. I watched it until I had to go out. I agree totally with Crimson, EVERY games counts, especially against the Cards. I hope I don't jinx things, but I don't the Cards is the team to beat. I don't think they are that good. I fear the Cubs more them them. Anytime you an say the Bucs are in FIRST place is a GOOD day!! Then to hear about the Polanco news is AWESOME. The best outfield stays together for awhile. Gotta love that!! GO BUCS!!

In a Division that had the 3 best records in baseball last year (100 wins, 98, and 97),....Every game most definitely matters. If you don't win the Division, the 1-game Wildcard match up can be the Boogie Man, as the Pirates have seen twice.

Then quit watching baseball! Keep playing League of Legends! The second the Pirates season is over, I'm counting the days until pitchers and catchers report. I follow them all season long and watch the ride up and down in the standings. It's exciting all season. Yes, every game counts, as we've seen the last few seasons. You have kids brought up throughout the season, expanded rosters close to playoffs. The long season is great! Baseball is on every night, not just on Sundays. People like football because they're lazy nowadays and want everything now. They don't want to put in the time and dedication of a long season.

After having nearly 2" of snow in Berlin yesterday, then getting sun burnt in Pittsburgh...it was a great opening day! Let's go Bucs! 161 more!

Other than the squeeze attempt, liked what I saw. Yeah, it was game 1 and there are 161 more, but everyone who has ever competed knows a win is better than a loss anytime.

Baseball is my sport but I will only watch about 50 Pirates games over the course of the season. No need to watch games started by Jeff Locke, Sunday afternoon games when it is 82 degrees outside, west coast games that start after my bedtime or games against the Brewers, Phillies, Rockies, Padres, Braves and Reds.
