central offense

Post by coach555 »

How does everyone think centrals new qb will do? Also with elijah benton returning could he be used as the 2nd option behind hoenstien? Langer seemed to be very solid for central any idea who will be replacing him?

I'm from Tyrone and I thought the Langer kid was very good. Helps your rb when you have a stout kid like that going through the hole 1st. We had Sleeth 2 years ago and he was 220 of straight ahead force it wore defenses out. We didn't have that this past year and imo are run game and line overall suffered from it. But other than that don't know much about who will be Centrals qb.

I have no idea, but wouldn't Benton be moving to Johnstown to live with his family?

Dont see the relevance in that.  If his family is moving to Westmont, is he going to commute to Roaring Spring daily? In Knopsnyder's article about his father, Shad, taking the McCort job it was alluded to the fact Elijah could fill one of McCort's weight classes.  That's why I'm curious.

Elijah doesn't wrestle or at least he didn't at Central.

WoW these last two post sure are going to have a lot of people scratching their head and I'm sure voicing quite an opinion. lol Maybe he'll stay with relatives so he can finish out his senior season at Central or just his father will commute for the year or maybe stay in the area by himself for a year till Elijah is finished. A lot of scenario's.......

I hear that the Benson is coming to McCort and will play WR and on defensive DB.  This will add to McCort offensive along with Walters, Cook, Nash, Andrews and Fleming.  If McCort can put together an offensive line, they may have a nice team for 2016.

Benton will be a nice addition. Kid is quick and very athletic. Likely would have started last year at CB and WR but ruptured spleen in preseason practice and missed all season until Aliquippa game. Currently a member of Central's state qualifying 4x100 relay team.
