Same thing in Sidman.  It's going to be a tough road to go 5-5.
I hope you're wrong Manfred, but my gut tells me you're spot on. FH won't play BM this year (thank goodness, haha), however, they get Westy right out the shoot. Westy will likely start 5 linemen all 260+,...the Ground and Pound, ball control offense will be a big concern for FH next week. Will need to win the turnover battle.

BM looked quick and physically took it to FH. Tackled well.

FH's line is suspect. Cecere seems to have very few legit targets. He still has a strong arm and runs like a deer

Heard a BM dad in the stands comment that "We need to recruit some size." Doesn't he know that he's not to openly discuss that in public. Just thought it was funny.

Does anyone here follow Penns Valley football? I am amazed that they only won two games last year. They seem loaded at every position and should have won a few more games last year. They honestly in my opinion seem like they have the talent to win a district title and double digit wins this season. Any Penns Valley fans know what happened last season?

About the blitzing,,,,,,, BM was is a 4-3 cover 2.
They bumped with the corners and this eliminated any chance of  FH running the hitch route that has been their bread and butter for years.
They(BM) did bring their corners a few times on the blitz but "The Don" was in a 5-2 bringing both ILB on a regular basis too.
BM burned them on the swing pass down to the one on the one blitz.
I really liked how Cook runs the option for BM.
I think FH can still win 5 games but  BM should win 7.
Just an observation from the stands.

Few clips of Cecere from Saturday

Few clips of Levi Cook's scrimmage as well.

Nothing too crazy to see in either video.

Thx DCor50. After reading the Trib-Dem previews this morning, I gotta believe this may be LV's year for a shot at a D6 title. Returning 19 of 22 Starters from a 9-3 team, they ought to be tough.
Did anyone see the CH-Westy scrimmage?
Classification changes definitely came at the right time for LV.

Aiks19 wrote:Central is the real deal. Saw some good things from Bellwood. Good news is, we won't see anyone on our schedule near the caliber of Central. They weren't State semifinalist for nothing and will go far this year as well.
It's still early but I was very impressed with the way Central looked. Bellwood did a lot of things well, but they were heavily outmatched. I think Central will definitely be the team to beat in D6-AAA this year and maybe beyond. Bellwood should put together a solid season and be much improved from last year.

CR is a team that intrigues me this season. I saw them play a lot last season, young team that returns a lot of talent. Especially the quarterback, name escapes me right now, I think he can be really good.

I was at that game. PV was young last year. They return 6 Srs. and 8 overall on offense, 6 Srs and 7 overall on defense. They have an incoming transfer at corner/wr that could be a great player. He came from Detroit. Also, the size of their line and TE Christian Rudolph, 6-5, 235 makes the a formidable team this year. Tobias also plays well. Hurd, the WR, has all star talent.
